ZeroChimp so sorry, how is it pronounced lol? It's generally down to interpretation, I hear people pronounce Draenor: "Drannor" and "Draynor".. Imo, "Nah-grand" sounds better than "Nay-grand" as many people think its pronounced like that, when its not lol.

While true, I'd like to think that in the event of a zombie apocalypse that is inevitably going to take your territory as well, that you would put your xenophobia aside to settle the conflict first, but no. Garithos basically sent them in to fight by themselves, with their own resources, while he stockpiled resources and watched as they were slowly dying. And then when the Naga realized their cousins were getting fucked, BADLY, they came to offer help, and at this point the Blood Elves aren't going to deny free help. That's where Garithos became the worst douche bag ever, because if he had handled this better, Blood Elves would still be High Elves, and they would be Alliance instead of Horde.

Dam I'm a semi new player for WoW and I guess I was one of those victims of the WoWpedia about believing he was bad. Now I have so muchbrespext for him. It's funny because as embellished and silly as this story as, Garrosh actually just did what he was supposed to and acted fine because he didn't have context of anything going on around him. Garrosh, ironically, was the one fooled by propaganda. In the Warcraft universe the Horde are underdogs to extreme levels. That's something they don't portray properly in the latest expansion and have slowly tried to slip out under the radar. The Horde's armies are tiny by comparison, ill-equipped, and resource-starved. Look at the factions (the books, previous games and expansions all show this on-the-nose). Orcs: A race of green aliens wiped out to the point of which they could be contained in a couple of internment camps. They know how to make catapults. They're sturdy. Not 'Tauren tough', but sturdy. Trolls: A single tribe that was under threat living in a small subset of islands. If you don't finish them off they can recover from fatal wounds more often than most. Tauren: A tribe that was on the brink of extinction, saved by the orcs to now have a blood debt so they feel stuck with the Horde (poor Tauren, let's be real). Individually they are strong, wise, and understand the natural world at about the same level as Night Elves (not a surprise, since they both worship the same and only deity). Forsaken: A tiny sliver of the Lich King's army which rebelled with one powerful banshee, for which replacement of forces is nightmarish-difficult. They also friendly fire the Horde all the damned time and the Horde tolerate it for no reason. Blood Elves: The very last vestiges of a force of refugees, which themselves were the last vestiges of a low-population race, that almost wiped itself out in a siege of the Frozen Throne. They're also dying off because of overdosing on magic, since their race was already a devolved sickened group of Night Elves. Goblins: A single small subset of goblins that were in a very specific mine that were exposed to a specific material. They aren't even the ones who make the zeppelins. Those guys sell them to the Horde. These guys make steampunk watches and (like all goblins) explosives that kill themselves half the time. Now look at the Alliance. Humans: A massive multi-cosmopolitan faction of peoples with a population that probably exceeds all of the Horde combined *by itself.* They have the most capable information network by far, along with actual seal teams and advanced rotor-operated helicopter airships. They have proper (not bodged-together) submarines. As a subnote: Kirin Tor: A significant portion of the most powerful mages on Azeroth (powerful enough to teleport floating cities) are now Alliance after the bombing of Theramore. Theramore was effectively a neutral city due to the friendship Janna and Thrall had. Night Elves: An ancient race of warriors with powers and skills that have been honed over the course of lifespans which span thousands of years, which themselves stayed isolated and thrived to populate. They have the most powerful druids. Some argue that their priests using the power of an actual goddess gives them the most powerful priests as well. Dwarves: Battle engineers who carve out mountains to live prosperously and have literal tanks. These guys are also sturdy. Their explosives are reliable and they use advanced ballistics ranging all the way up to accurate battleship-grade guns loaded with magazines containing pre-fabricated cartridges. Gnomes: Their population is low but it has a high turnover. They get themselves killed pretty often (though not at goblin rates) however they do this mostly at the experimentation stage. Dwarves outpace them technologically with ballistics and mobile armor, but they otherwise are the second most advanced faction in the game. Draenei: The most advanced faction in the game. Lasers, crystal batteries, space ships, holograms. They really only have one city, though it is mostly-intact and isolated from enemies. They aren't bloodthirsty either so their replacement rate is fine. They are the golden children of the race that gives the light to Azeroth, and even their paupers can call upon healing magic. What Garrosh was told: "Hey the Horde are the best. Seriously. We're just practical so we're properly using resources. You should help bring honour back to us." After he does: "Yo what in the Molten Core dawg? You can't just poke the bear like that! We hate you now!"

Some points yeah Garrosh was set up, but he still bombed Theramore, consumed a heart of an old god, went around pandaria stealing ancient relics like that bell, tried to assassinate vol'jin and basically kicked all the other races out of the horde except some goblins. He was a bad guy, even in WoD he didn't do much good, choked the guy who saved him and manipulated the horde to go to complete the dark portal and then invade azeroth and then still cause the massacring of the draenei with some of them being sacrifices to power the dark portal, that version of Velen died who is a key character in the lore and they turned a Naaru into a void god. And after all his efforts the burning legion and gul'dan still gained control of the orcs.

The problem is that all of that was due to the direct actions of the horde leaders. Garrosh didn't even want to be a leader as the knew he couldn't handle it, he was always a devout warrior, but the great pickle begged him to so he did. Then from the start every chief turned against him and no one would cooperate or believe a word out of his mouth. They pushed him into a corner and he fought back. It was very unfortunate that we had to kill him and every chief was 100% responsible for the outcome, yet not a single one will receive any comeuppance from it.

Once Blizzard see's WoW Classic's success, they'll use Chromie's Temporal Discombobulator to reset the story line before Mist of Pandaria. But I also hope that if they do, that Sylvanis is told by a secret (in the shadows/background watching the lore Blizzard has told so far) that the time has been reset and that shadowy figure can help Sylvanis ressurect Garosh into a powerful new undead orc ally. Basically a new story line to move WoW's story in a different path and introduce undead version of all horde races. Or just introduce the "new" horde alliance as a reason to give Alliance horde toons. That's just me though.

​@@m.newtonrothbard1250 I'm pretty sure I do. Garrosh was sent back to Nagrand as a boy because he was sick with bloodpocks around the time Grom was sent through the Dark Portal. Thrall wasn't born until AFTER Durotan and Draka went through the portal and the Frostwolves were banished from the horde. Some will say "Grom didn't go to Azeroth until Beyond the Dark Portal" which is 6 years after it was opened. However Garrosh is seen in that book and mentioned to be a "young warrior" and "tall and muscular." Atleast an 8 or 10 year difference in age.

@@m.newtonrothbard1250 Believe it's 'Beyond the Dark Portal' or 'Through the Dark Portal' and yeah there are a lot of inconsistencies with WoW lore. It wouldn't surprise me if their age difference was some how retconned by chronicle or just by word of mouth from a dev at some point. But yeah, BtDP is 6 years after the opening of the dark portal while it's believed Thrall was born 2 years after the opening and, while I think it's Kargath that describes Garrosh as a young warrior, a 4 years difference doesn't seem old enough, even by orc standards, to be considered as such. So it's safe to assume that Garrosh would be maybe 10 years old or so by then. Thrall was about 18/19 or so when he escaped Durnholde 16 years after the first war yet it doesn't really describe how old he was when he started training to fight. I'd put the age difference between 6-10 years maybe.

Usually these videos are funny and follow the story, but this one apparently treats lore like it never happened or was some dream sequence? Previous ones were great because they play within the lines of lore and point out the outlandish aspects. Parts are very funny, but it goes off the rails when it tries to keep portraying him as a hero while people make up lies, although initially true he changed and was corrupted while trying to do good. 4/10. Don't just try to write off lore because you disagree with it. Lore is lore and you don't get to rewrite it except in your sonic-like fanfiction.
