I agree that the game awards show should have some kind of time limit on speeches in order to keep things moving along, but I think most people felt they were too strict about it. The specific issue here was when the creators of Baldur's Gate 3 were giving their speech for winning game of the year, and only had about a minute to talk. They were given the sign to wrap it up while addressing the fact that one of the team members had recently passed away before winning the award. The entire awards show should have been centered on that moment, as it's what all of the viewers were waiting for. That team won an insane number of awards that night for their game but then were given a sliver of time on stage.. I thought the advertisements for new games and a lot of the new trailers and teasers were great, but then they sped through award categories at lightning speed. It was just kind of off-putting. This wasn't supposed to be another E3 type of event, so they should have focused on the winners and game developers more than they did. Just my opinion.

I think Emiru is wrong on this. Most gamers indeed have no money. I totally understand the whole inflation situation, that game's prices have been at 50-60 bucks for so long, but when the crisis hit in most countries, most people's salaries including myself, have dropped dramatically. Also the prices might be the same for so long, but as far as I am concern, games sell more now than they used to.

What Asmon is talking about in dieting is Volumetrics, that you can take a 4oz brownie and still have it be the same calories as 1lb of broccoli. Some people try the volumetric diet, that they will eat tons of food that are very low in calories in order to stay satiated. 3 meals a day is a lot of food like Asmon said, the 3 meals a day wasn't a thing until the industrial revolution, people back in Rome *might* have a small amount of breakfast if they didn't eat much the day before and it might be like a tea and some bread or leftovers of last night's supper. But the norm was like a very late lunch or early supper (2-4ish) and it would be a massive meal where you sit down with other people, which makes more sense for digestion because some foods can take the entire day to digest (varies from person to person and what you're eating. Organ meats can take 12 hours to digest, roughly) So stuffing your face again when your body hasn't fully digested your last meal can contribute to over consuming, just because you now have room in your stomach, doesn't mean your intestines is not working the last meal still. Also the, "Don't eat" advice he gives, is not entirely bad advice. If you look into the autophagy, it has everything to do with cellular recycle, to where you fast anywhere from 3 to 30 days (depends on the person, what they're trying to do, health, etc. I 've done 4 days and felt great) Not only will you be in a sever calorie deficit to lose some weight, but it will kill all your food cravings, including sugar. Food will be more satisfying and fulling after you break your fast, your body can focus on cleaning itself out since it's not occupied with digestion. You'll have no mental fog and have higher levels on energy, especially in the morning (no more trying to wake up for 15 minutes) I didn't mean to write a book, but Asmond's health advice rivals that of of many doctors and brilliant minds. Everybody in the comment section who said Asmon didn't understand health, isn't thinking in 12 different areas like Asmon is.

1300 kcal is way to low that's why tectone isn't losing weight. When you go that low your body basically goes into a saving mode because it thinks you are starving and it is trying to preserve your organs from failing. A healthy diet would be a daily kalorie deficit of 200-300 kcal, so someone like tectone should probably eat 1800kcal - 1900kcal a day. When you get into this starving mode your body gets really stressed and stress is also really bad for losing weight. You should also know that lifting weights and building muscle also gets really hard when you are in this starving mode. Kinda sounds like knut was teaching tectone what he does when he is trying to get lean for a bodybuilding competition but certainly isn't good advice for someone who is just trying to lose weight... A little example, I started counting calories and working out 1 1/2 years ago. I ate 1800kcal most of the time, only worked out for 30 minutes, 5 times a week (3 times cardio, 2 times muscle training) and I dropped from 300 pounds down to 210 pound in just a year. Once I dropped down to 200 pounds I started to do work out 6 times a week, (3 times cardio, 3 times muscle training) but still only working out 30 minutes. I'm now at 165 pounds and I'm very muscular, I can even see a little sixpack and I barely have any loose skin. I just recently got myself checked by my doctor, before I started this journey my blood pressure was to high, I had a high cholesterol and I was close to getting diabetis, now I'm perfectly fine. Another reason why I wouldn't recommend going for 1300kcal a day, it is impossible to sustaint that for a long term. I can easily manage 1800kcal a day with having a cheat meal every now and then for YEARS but with 1300kcal I don't think I would be able to sustain that for longer than a month.

Asmon could not live off $16k with a 700 dollar a month mortgage payment or whatever he pays. House: $700 x 12 = $8,400 Electric $100 x 12 = $1,200 (Texas is probably more a month for this) Internet $100 x 12 = $1,200 (Might be more or less) that leaves $433 a month with terrible calculations to maintain a car (just gas is going to be hard), have insurance, buy food. Heaven forbid he buys a cell phone and pays for that.

Tectone: Sponsors don't care about your feelings. Me: Is that why Kojima got 10 full minutes to say nothing about a whole game and they flashed an *ENGLISH* Please Wrap It Up to a fellow JAPANESE developer who barely speaks the language who needed a translator? Also, it's an award show. If you don't give them time to speak, you have missed the entire point of the event.

I would agree with "inflation bad, need more money" IF these companies were being put in the red by the situation but they are not, they are still making billions and billions of dollars even with fucking inflation. Now, are they making infinite money, the way they would like to?..No, but the idea that they HAVE to increase prices or they go bankrupt or some shit is ridiculous, they just want to keep making eye watering ammounts of money instead of just ..absurd ammounts of money they make anyway. I aint seeing Rockstar filing for bacnkrupcy because they sell GTA6 for 50-70$ instead of 100 get fucking real.

I mean it’s an unbelievable amount of money for a game, but considering how strong of a game GTA5 is, and how it’s completely still competing with other games releasing today. Paying that much for GTA6 which is undoubtedly going to be even better isn’t the most insane thing ever said, you’d definitely get your money’s worth.
@PersonaPrime

@@kingintox5743 I know this is an unpopular opinion, but GTA 5 wasn't that great. It's been kept alive by RPers, but there are a lot of other games way better that weren't as popular. Popularity doesn't determine how much a game should cost. If that were the case, they should still charge 60 bucks for Skyrim and Hogwarts Legacy should have gone for 100+.

Bad take by Tectone on the uproar over award winners getting told to wrap it up. The issue isn't inherently that they gave winners very little time for acceptance speeches and told them to wrap it up. The problem is that far more time was given to pointless things like celebrities making dumb jokes on stage, a Muppets gag, Kojima talking for 10 minutes about his new game without revealing anything (waiting for translator didn't help), and so on. Then when a major award winner goes on stage and wants to take more than 60 seconds in order to mention coworkers that passed away, all of a sudden there's no time for that.

I don't think tectone is afraid of soda 😂 but he has respect for him. And if you hold someone's opinion I'm high regard you inevitably don't want to disappoint that person. It's the same in all work if you value your bosses opinions I am a chef or was many years ago and if I fucked up I was not upset because I tucked up it was because I let chef down head chef is disappointed its worst feeling.

If tectone is really doing a 2,000 calorie deficit that’s insane. That’s basically starving yourself, you’d be so hungry all the time that eventually you’d cave in and binge eat a week’s worth of food in one day and give up. Nobody has infinite willpower

That is a weird way to think of calories. Best way to put it is each calorie contains a unit of energy/kjs. So if 200g of chicken is 240cals and you've got 200g of high fat ground beef that's 450 cals, it's going to be the same volume but one is more calorie dense and one will reach your calorie expenditure faster than the other. Not a complicated process.

I loved this episode! I just hope Tectone sees a professional to give him a healthy diet regime because cutting that many calories out could be harmful and it would help if he split up his meals to more than just three meals to boost his metabolism. That said, I’m glad Tectone has been sharing his health journey to motivate others!

hed literally loose weight eating about 1.5k more cals than he is right now. the max most people need is a 500 deficit, all hes doing is slowing his metabolism and potentially crashing it if he does this for long enough. he'll also make no progress in the gym strength wise and will likely lose muscle. he could talk to wake or knut or literally meet up with wake and get proper advice idk what hes doing and why he thinks its good, shit infuriates me

He's not in a 2k deficit and gaining 8 lbs. In a 500 deficit you wouldn't be gaining 8 lbs. There's no way he's counting his calories properly. I'm not one of those guys that calls Tectone a liar and a flip flopper at every turn, but it's so unbelievable that I wouldn't be surprised if he just straight up lied about it.
@4ce._.Official
@4ce._.Official 5 ай бұрын
@infinityseven5924 well you are wrong lol, the reason he got 8 lbs heavier is cause hes going to the gym again, when you first go back to the gym your muscles gain back your mass back fast to where you were, and he also is probably water bloating, granted it is really bad to cut 2k calories, your body goes into starvation mode and holds in more fat and slows your metabolism making it easier to gain weight with the same amount of calories
@infinityseven5924
@infinityseven5924 5 ай бұрын
@@4ce._.Official You don't gain weight in a 2k calorie deficit. Not fat, not muscle. Maybe water, but not 8lbs of it. Just look it up. There's a million sources on this topic, yet somehow people are still confidently wrong about it. It's the first law of thermodynamics. He's using far more resources than he eats, so how the hell could he be building 8lbs of muscle? That's ridiculous.

there's zero point in having game awards if the winners only get 30s. If the recipients stop going because they feel disrespected then Mountain Dew won't even have a show to run their ads in. The space to advertise only exists because of the awards. Otherwise they would just run a trailer + ad show.
