LMFAO was the first concert I've ever attended, funnily enough I was pretty surprised when only redfoo showed up but didn't think much of it. He did the entire show by himself (with lots of dancers and background singers of course, since it was supposed to be a party) and now I finally understand why. Damn.

I mean, it wasn't like that in the past. I can name a dozen no name, no money talents that sprang to the top on talent alone. But these days? There are literally tens of thousands of albums and artists trying to break through. Odds are if they spring to the top these days it's because a ton of money was behind it. Sure, it may still be possible, but it is way less likely than it used to be.

The moral of the story is that people who disagree, hate one another, or just simply of opposing perspectives usually produce the best stuff. The problem was no one was there to mediate between them nor did they need the money to keep going. They were well off from the start, so they didn't really care about the money angle either. They split since nothing kept them together apart from being relatives which can only go so far.
@EvilNeonETC

This is true in some circumstances. Having differing ideas come together and form something great doesn't happen every time.
@MrPapamaci88
@MrPapamaci88 2 жыл бұрын
@@EvilNeonETC There needs to be communication between the two. That's why it's rare. Opposing people usually hate one another from the get-go since most people are superficial and they construct stereotypes of others rather quickly. A 20 minute meeting can make or condemn you in the eyes of others for years since the same superficiality is also responsible for the difficulty of changing the image you have in the minds of others.

Adding some context on the Gordy family: Berry Gordy, founder of Motown, had the Temptations, Supremes, Marvin Gaye, and several other iconic performers as well. And he was known as a “slave driver”. Artists only sang songs written by his writers, and they performed whenever he wanted them to, point blank period. No excuses, show goes on regardless. You could make the argument that Redfoo saw his father’s view of performing and came at it the same way. So when Blue Sky got hurt? Oh well-we keep going, you don’t get paid if you don’t show-which is exactly what Berry Gordy did to his talent, with the exception of his top flight talent. Redfoo’s behavior was a reflection of his father, made nastier by the fact that he grew up in a wealthy family. Blue Sky, being younger and a generation separated, didn’t take on that mindset, so they naturally clashed when Sky got hurt.

19:15 Get chicks drunk to do stuff is one of those things that was likely on the reasonable portion of the spectrum of MeToo accusations that began around this time. Sadly, the movement would engage in excess and push beyond reason, even trying to go after Morgan Freeman for answering a solicited question. Proving that Feminists involved were just doubling down on unreasonable claims they were making in the Feminist movement like "We need to teach men not to rape" implying rape is a default.

The Secret isn't some kind of cosmic magic. If you're always thinking in a positive way, and in a way where you behave the way you would when you already have all that you want, you put out this real charm and confidence that really "attracts" people to you, and it builds and builds on top of itself, to the point where you start to find real success, and you aren't even "pretending" as much anymore. You can actually become that thing you want, just by putting that positive energy out there. I didn't have THIS kind of success with it, but when I applied the concepts to dating, I couldn't believe the results. Women that I just never thought I could date, were the ones chasing after me and it was a fkn trip. But it only works if YOU REALLY buy into it, and apply the concepts in every aspect of your life.

Yep! In high school I always had the hottest chicks flirting with me at random.. it was overwhelming. I was just a Bandhead. Quiet, never bragged, played a few gigs with my trombone, just.. lived in the moment. Didn't really ever ask for it, it all came to me. I told my friend a long time ago the same thing you've said just now, he was a pretty popular baseball player. Could never keep a relationship.. it caused him to be so depressed that he opted out his Junior year to just do nothing.. I told him to just do what you have to do man, don't let stuff you can't control control your future. I taught him how to play guitar, so he found a new passion he truly loves, and he started recording himself and sharing it online.. he's made it man.. and now he's about to graduate college with a fiancè who completely supports him.. and she doesn't even know he plays for LSU and has MLB teams asking for him. Success just.. happens. Chasing it will make you way too mentally exhausted to carry on with it once you're there.

"in collections" is no reflection of sales. all that number means is 44 people who have discogs accounts have bothered to register it as part of their music collections. most people who buy music do not have discogs accounts, let alone bother to tell the website every able they buy, especially if their just downloading it. not that that record would have good sales, but if its in 44 collections on discogs than its safe to say signifacantly (although it isnt safe to say how significantly) more than 44 were sold.

@@OfficialCANVAS Even though the songs got super popular at the time similar to What Does The Fox Say or Harlem Shake? Gangnam Style? From where I’m sitting a lot of those songs just stayed in that time of 2011-2013. Just because a video has over a billion views doesn’t mean the artist isn’t a one hit wonder.

I understand why he didn't pay him on concert, because it's a live show, which is need to be performed by the artist, the only thing that the other can claim when he is not present on the stages, are the music used in the concert, so if the other didn't pay the other for not performing its reasonable, but if he didn't pay for the music the other involved with it just sad. But as family and business partner the other should atleast give some for him, because it's a duo.
