Its hard for newcomers to understand the contracts, alot of people in entertainment specifically got screwed by their earlier contracts. I remember Pokimane made a segment warning all new streamers about the first contract deals they get and make sure they are OK with the terms, which is not most of the cases specially when big and stablished orgs contact those small streamers and they agree in excitements.

Kinda crazy that a contract like that can be legally binding. It's one thing if the company helps the person in question every step of the way but in this case they just gave Andrew 4000 dollars and a van. The company is taking a huge cut of a big pile of money for years after a relatively small investment. Andrew is all gas no brakes, without him the channel is effectively dead. Legally okay or not it's obvious to anyone that what went down is morally wrong.

The reason was actually more to do with creative differences rather than money. Specifically, they wanted him to stop all political and conspiracy content and to only do "Party Content". He did ask for more money in the end, but the start of the tension was Andrew wanting to do more journalism. So the company is greedy and stupid.

When you see people struggle as a child and also been told "your lucky to be born in the most free or greatest country in the world." Just like Santa Clause, I didn't believe them when they said the government helps The People. When at age 8-11 I had to protest for the teachers, their funding was too low. I knew it was because my grandma was a teacher and she spent her own money on the poor kids. Not the government or their parents that couldn't find work, but a hard working teacher. I've mowed neighbors lawns, they where too old to do so, while they couldn't pay. Not the government, The People take care of their own. She told me horrors stories of all the foster kids she took in, how their life was struggle. Now they all call her as adults and thank her for at times literally saving lives. The People hold so much power and compassion, they know it and divide us against each other. I've seen too much to believe we are the greatest now, but we could be. That's what hurts the most.
