I was a KZbin content mod for almost 2 years, a majority of moderators work for outsourcing companies and have less than a year experience. The first thing they tell you during training is policy is always changing. The fact is there is so many young inexperienced people making the important decisions, and most BPO find a way to cheat quality control so alot of the work is done carelessly and only the control videos get attention.

well, I think it's about time to reconsider Ad Blockers... KZbin doesn't get to play generated ads on demonetized channels, and creators get to cherry pick sponsor reads they think apply to their channel or audience.

I worked a lot with prominent, high-spending advertisers on YT and (at least the ones I worked with) didn't care about safe language. They'd rather their ad was placed with a creator that was popular with the audience they wanted to reach. In the conversations I was involved in, it was always YT pushing the agenda. If we're homogenising everyone's language and personality into one happy, brand-safe pool, how are advertisers meant to get any meaningful impact with their ads? I'd think it's a harder sell but brands won't realise that until a few years from now when the effects become more obvious. For now, they still think 'safe' content means no news or extremist content.

I wonder if KZbin is planning on pushing content towards its premium service. Free version of KZbin heavily age restricted and premium version not. It would make sense imo to do this for them to get more revenue to their platform.

If a game has a PEGI rating for 18 years old, shouldn't a video of that game also be restricted to that age?
@kazumakariama Жыл бұрын
I'd argue no, because the viewers are simply viewers and the content is meant to primarily be the creators regardless of how its viewed. Some watch horror games being played through the lens of another creator because it lowers the shock factor, the same thing is done for a game like GTA. You arent partaking in anything regardless of whos playing and or whos watching. So the points dont matter from youtubes side regardless.
@trolleurdurden5534 Жыл бұрын
That's besides the point. The issue here is the retroactivity and absence of fairness in appeal. Which is basically exactly the opposite of how things are done in the legal system, and for a reason.

28:40 I've only gone to your twitch stream once... Anyway, the point is, I had 3 unskippable ads play right away, then 10 minutes later another, 30 second unskippable ad. That's when I left the stream and didn't return. If you believe what you are saying about not playing any ads on your channel, you may need to start a conversation with twitch staff.

In a lot of EU country's it is illegal to share a picture of your ID, pasport or drivers license without blocking out certain info that KZbin wants you to share with them effectively making it illegal to watch age restricted content in a lot of EU country's.

There was 0 write up, they allowed me to work through the busy holidays, did year end inventory, took a mental health leave of absence then came back to a changed lock on the store's door. There are 0 protections for most workers and no recourse, I was with that retail corporation for a decade.

YT is hiding videos a long time too. Even when you search for the exact title the video will not show up at all. The only way to see them is to go to the feed of the YT Chanel and search manual for it.

So what youtube should do is allow advertisers to select what content they want their advertisements to be advertised on say G M or R16. The majority of companies will not care about what their products or services are advertised on its about reach that is what advertising is about exposure and reach. To me, it sounds like youtube is removing monetisation while still playing advertisements on the people's content and making bank off the work of content creators.

The thing that people fail to fully realise is that those policies are worse (less just) than the laws in the country. What people feel about that is that private companies should not be able to make policies that would be illegal if they would have been written laws. But putting companies on the same level as the government would be a tricky thing and lengthy conversation BTW, bitchute does come up on the search (immediately checked when He said that). I think you are correct - these changes by KZbin to demonetize creators are done to protect advertisers (who give revenue to KZbin but not to the creators) while at the same time the creators, who are no longer making money, are producing content that KZbin is selling advertising on. That is diabolical. If creators shift to promoting advertising on their own channels rather than being monetized by KZbin, then KZbin's profitability will increase significantly because they are no longer having to give money to creators. Demonetizing creators has to be a new profitability model for KZbin. It is in KZbin's best interest that creators do not know how to restore monetization because that would cost KZbin money.
