Guys, don't get the wrong idea. Jan (Pokemon Challenges) uses those videos of youtubers or streamers who do nuzlockes (he did xQc, Mizkief and even JaidenAnimations) as sort of educational videos for his audience who rather watch it to get to know his strategies and tips. When he talks about the encounters he always does it in a general way for his audience and gives them information about which would be the best encounter and why. He isn't like "oh, how bad is this guy", that's not what he is about. In fact RT was the best nuzlocker he's watched so far and that's some pretty impressive praise

@Kobolds_in_a_trenchcoat
@Kobolds_in_a_trenchcoat 2 жыл бұрын
Actually literally the opposite. Roland Barthes (the guy who wrote the death of the author essay) wrote it because art critics were putting way too much stock in the life experiences and writings of authors that were being studied and too little emphasis on the actual text of a work itself (where 99% of the public will start and end their relationship with art of any kind). Of course, this kind of double commentary wasn't possible in the 60s when death of the author was written.

General rule: if you name a Pokémon 'Fodder', it absolutely carries at least part of the game. Fodder the Simipour in my Black 2 randomiser nuzlocke reverse swept Elesa to save the run before staying alive long enough to rebuild the team

I have learned that people actually use stat-boosting items and moves and don't just brute force their way through fights like I do. Granted this is also not a normal playthrough, but still.

I found your content bc of PC's review. And now, three weeks later after I've binged a bunch of your videos and come back to this. It's weird but in a good way to watch this now that I've watched a lot of your stuff. Hope to enjoy a lot more in the future too

it’s so funny to think of someone reviewing content like RT’s or kevin’s so seriously like “well optimally your cities skylines build should have a much more efficient and sustainable sewage system and not all go into one lake - is he firing meteors at his own town? that’s going to absolutely ruin the industrial section -“ lmao it’s like watching an architect review the steph0sims gucci slide house. no wait actually i desperately want an architect to review the steph0sims gucci slide house and then make drawings of how it could possibly be built if someone asked for one

I suggest you try watching his vid on why Johto is bad, he presents a lot of facts. Like how the Cyndaquil line has identical base stats to the Charmander line. How the lvl curve is horse shit etc. How is it normal to meet a wild lvl 22 after the Pokemon League
@clefspeareiii1710
@clefspeareiii1710 3 жыл бұрын
Also, go look up the ROM hacks “Sacred Gold” & “Storm Silver” They keep the identity of the gen IV Johto games mostly intact, but fix/ improve a bunch of areas throughout the games (better lvl curve, un-branched unnecessary branching paths, adding all gen IV Pokémon from the beginning... etc). In my opinion, they make the games waaaaay better (though also harder) while making only relatively small changes
