I loved when he said this because it's my motto too. I live off $1.99 a pound pork tenderloin or 1/2 loin which I buy in a chunk when it's on sale and cut up myself. I absolutely love it. @@KiffJRockka you can get some $2 steaks from managers specials sometimes, they are basically the stuff they wont be able to sell the next day so they want it gone. It is not usually the best cut of meat, but it is good with a little improvisation. Also those are flat steaks, they are super cheap and not really great unless you want it for something like cut up strips.

My group years ago would get together to play "steak game." The goal of the game was to produce the best tasting steak while spending the least amount of money. Pro tip: when you’re finished cooking your steak add an inch of water to the pan and then throw it back on the heat while you’re eating. By the time you get done eating the water will have boiled off everything stuck to the bottom of the pan. Then you just wipe clean, no scrubbing needed.

Pro tip: If you have an extra 5-minutes, add a little water to the saucepan after cooking the stake, then scrape and stir it for a few minutes. It will thicken into a super tasty sauce for your stake/potatoes and leaves you with a pan that's 90% of the way to being clean.
