I work as a sewer maintenance operative. I don’t see much daylight and am covered from head to toe in nasty things at work. I know my job is important though so that people can have clean water and drains that work. My wife left me many years ago, my children went with her. Oh I want one. I had a couple massages after an accident, and I nearly fell asleep. Then I was in a rollover accident and broke my neck, and now after a 9 hour surgery I cannot turn my head and my neck and shoulders are always sore and stiff. I have so much metal in my neck and up the back of my head. But I can still walk so it’s ok! I’d still love to get this treatment. Also, this girl has the most beautiful skin !

I even tried some moves (for I am the queen of stiff scalp and headaches) and it helped. In the future I am thinking of sticking to some form of scalp self massage, since there are no head spas in my country (there are a lot of other things missing from my country as well, like decency and proper client service, but meh)

I don't think they're wrong in what they promise. There are a great deal of acupressure points in the scalp and head that activate things all over the body. The Japanese have mastered the ability to find and exploit the benefits of those areas. And even if they didn't work, as you say, I wouldn't say no to their massage techniques either :)

Even if it is stretching the truth from an outsiders perspective, when you’re there getting the treatment, with eyes closed and being on the brink of sleep, it’s like hypnosis of reassurance. The people there surely enjoy the words instead of silence. The smells, the sounds, the feel, tastes of drinks, and lack of sight is like a hyperbolic chamber. I get your point, but don’t knock it til you try it!

We carry a lot of tension in our scalps from stress, if your neck and shoulders are tight, chances your scalp is too. A tight tensed scalp can be itchy and cause dandruff and tension headaches. Good hairdressers will be able to even tell washing your hair if you’ve been under a lot of stress. So yes, a good scalp massage will increase blood flow to nourish the hair follicles and stimulate hair growth. Either in the shower or even letting your head dangle off the bed a little and do circular massages with a bit of almond oil (to wash out later)💆‍♂️ 💆‍♀️ on a regular basis will increase blood flow and enjoy the real benefits to good scalp health. Pulling gently on your hair is also a good tension releaser. Never pop your scalp by pulling too hard on your hair though. ~.~
