It was an era of so fast progress, went from 8 bit to 64 bit and CDs in a span of half a decade. I know that FF7 graphics blew me away back in late 97. A 40min bicycle trip to get it out of some small gamestore who had it far before others did.

​​@@Njuregen funny how that 64-bit thing was so big back then and it meant almost nothing. memory addressability. That's all it meant. in today's terms, I think you could compare those consoles to a modern GPU because they were proprietary graphics hardware. The latest video cards and those evolved into crypto and AI cards, they have something like 20,000 cores. so I think in terms of the console marketing, you would basically take these 64-bit cores multiplied times 20K. Nintendo 1.28 million.

I loved the 3rd person duke nukem games as a kid. I thought the idea of each level being a different time period and place was so cool. One level you are in a toga, next level its a cowboy outfit. Super underrated imo

I was just old enough to play the PS1 with my older brother and sister when these games were still fresh, I loved playing the Crash Bandicoot games! My sister's favorites were the Tomb Raider series and my brother played pretty much everything else, but the ones he played that I liked most were the Final Fantasy games. FFVIII was the first FF game I actually finished, it's one of my favorite PS1 games and is totally underrated, I think. This made me want to get it out and play it again! I feel so old watching this but the nostalgia hits so good! Nice to know I'm not the only 90s kid who remembers the good stuff, what a great time to be a kid!

Late 90s High School days for me. Too much fun and sleep overs playing PS1 games. I went to a sleepover and I brought my Silent Hill 1 copy, we took turns and beat the game at 4am. 😂

Wow, this was what I grew up with in the 90’s. A fun stroll down memory lane. Lots of those games I played such as Twisted Metal 3, Mega Man Legends, Rival Schools and I even had a copy of Running Wild which you showed in this video. I think that game deserves at least one more point lol.

Good night, it's very interesting to remenber this golden decade that was the 90s. I myself make a point of saying that I played a lot of Playstation, even though I didn't have the console at the time, but my friends and I played in the arcades. My favorite games were resident evil 1.2.3 and metal gear solid, silent hill and driver were the main ones I played. 😊

Heart of Darkness was one of my fav games as a kid, it came with 3D glasses lol it was such a beautiful game the environments and the shadow creatures reminded me of Another World.

Same creator if anyone wasn't aware. Éric Chahi developed Another World/Out of This World entirely on his own, even building his own game engine, and then later developed Heart of Darkness with a full team. He's since worked on From Dust back in 2011 and then a VR game more recently.

You really seem to be in love with the PS1 and PS2 era of gaming which makes sense as you grew up on them...I missed out on those eras sadly but I am replaying a lot of older pc games from 2000 to 2008. I didn't have any gaming systems as a kid so it's fun playing through these games now.
