In case anybody doesn't understand the meaning behind that phrase: "to have your ducks in a row" means you are prepared for an upcoming task. Whilst "squirrels at a rave" means your thoughts spin, jump and dive so you can't prepare properly

The vast majority of employees in the UK don't have to submit a tax return at all

This is a very exaggerated version of a British one - it's all actually done online eventually. If you use an accountant like this, they'll gather information to input it for you, after looking at ways to minimise your tax. In any event, the only people who have to complete tax returns in the UK are higher rate tax payers, people who earn money from property and directors of companies.

Do you actually have to take car modifications into account with taxes in the UK?

No definitely not. I do tax returns and you do not need to know all the questions he is asking. Also the ID documents (for KYC purposes) are always one photo ID and a utility bill or bank statement showing your address (rather than two forms of photo ID). This is just role play and very relaxing nevertheless.
