I made cookies yesterday and was upset I had no marshmallows to add. Today I found out that I DO in fact have marshmallows🤦🏻♀. But next time I'm definitely using this recipe cuz these cookies look amazing! Also great asmr, hope this channel grows bigger!

I love your asmr channel. Its so unique, and as a beginner baker, this really helps a lot! Your voice is so relaxing and your def one of my favs. I lowkey dislike how a lot of asmrtists are doing the same thing, this is a breathe of fresh air

Making your own butter is much cheaper and actually very easy :)) it can take some time unless you have a butter churner (which are no so expensive and worth it for the amount that you use), but it makes a large amount

I've made butter once before with my stand mixer! It was really good I need to get back into that thanks for reminding me

Baking ASMR is my favorite, immediately subscribed. BTW, the Kitchenaid stand mixer will likely outlast you as long as you take care of it. They’re fantastic machines. ☺️ Loved the video and look forward to watching the rest.

I don’t know if it’s an option but you can melt the butter and let it sit for a few minutes and normally it will separate. Then you just need to remove the water

Like clarified butter?

@@madiskitchen yes like this, I’m not an expert in butter, but maybe if you try you could have better results.

About a year ago, I read about the water content in butter and how it was changing because of "shrinkflation." Since they can't shrink the size of their sticks, they've been changing the ratio.

Awe that sucks! But it's good to know I'm not the only one running into this situation
@K8ieC184 ай бұрын
when you say “better structure” what does that particularly mean in cooking? like is the cookie more hardened/less likely to fall apart if you picked it up?
@madiskitchen4 ай бұрын
Yep! When I say structure I'm usually referring to gluten development which is the main way (besides eggs) cookies stay together without crumbling apart in your hands. And gluten development is just a fancy way to refer to the process of mixing ingredients like flour together with liquids. The actual process of mixing them together creates the structure :) I hope this made sense!

Wow I subscribed immediately the cookies and the voice ❤ instead of the graham cracker like that can I crumble them and roll the cookie dough in it , will it bake the same ?
@madiskitchen4 ай бұрын
I haven't personally tried making them that way, but I've seen others crumble up the graham crackers and they look good. The only thing I worry about is the cookie potentially falling apart when the marshmallow puffs up in the oven. But you could just mix in mini marshmallows instead of using a giant one.

What would be a substitute for bread flour?
@madiskitchen4 ай бұрын
You can use all purpose flour, and the cookies will still turn out well! They just might be a little less chewy

try new baking soda it may be flat so things won’t stay fluffy and non crispy

My baking soda doesn't expire until like a year from now, so I don't think that's the issue but this is a good tip!
