I tend to see people comment week in and week out on your videos, saying they find it "weird" how you put the object close to your ear when making the sound. I think this makes him the greatest ASMR Artist as he is really trying to perfect the sound. While listening to the sound Dmitri can decide whether its too loud, too harsh, quiet etc etc. Thanks Dmitri for this video!

The reason that some ASMR video makers wear headphones is to hear what the audience will hear. It is technically more efficient since most people have the microphone set louder than the human ear. which is why they whisper.

I'm not entirely sure why it helps. I guess, for me, it acts more as background noise and that helps me focus better. Kind of like listening to music while doing homework only less distracting.

kikko rkok True...your ears are used to some sort of noise always happening. When you're in complete (I mean COMPLETE) silence, you can actually be driven crazy.

I just wanted to say how thankful i am for your videos! I thought i was weird for loving the hell out of hearing crinkly newspapers on the train in the morning and how it made me feel so relaxed, now i've discovered this whole 'ASMR 'thing' and there's a whole community based around creating sounds! I'm typically an anxious person and i'm so happy that i've discovered these videos help me relax! Now i can listen to crinkles all the time!!

liam briggs Little-known fact: that soap is almost never used for cleaning. Virtually all of the company's customers are ASMRnoraks. Some say that's not even soap in the package, just a cake of wax and no-one's noticed.

As you have started uploading 'non talking' version of your art, so it's made me want to raise this point. I have found my biggest trigger is talking and whispering. So as much as I understand others want pure sounds, I hope I speak for others when I say I want pure speaking and whispering. Watched this video dozens of times. Love it!! I don't know if you have any control over this but having a scary movie advertisement like the one that popped up (paranormal activity) is really distracting and unnerving before bed. I am prepared for the loudness (sometimes) of the ads, but that kinda content before bed or relaxing in general is very anti-asmr for me. they are usually product ads, which are morning but not disturbing. like I said, don't know if you can do something about it, but thanks for the tingles anyways. :)

it's basically your nervous system reacting to resonating frequencies, when you hear crinkling, it can match certain frequencies of your nerves such that they release tension when vibrated and this causes various relief sensations. there can be a lot of stiff/crinkly tissue in the body and vibrating at the same frequency they causes nerves to loosen up the area, allowing for cerbal spinal fluid to flow more readily.
