I agree 💯%!! I've always LOVED Ella's accent videos, not just for the amazing ASMR skills, for the quality & great accent/voice skills as well. There's SO much more to a successful ASMR video than people tend to think. It takes MANY skills to make high quality work.

I actually think English might be her second language, she lives in Italy and can speak fluent Italian, but also fluent English. There's no sure fire way to tell but I think English is her second language

Question for the community: One of my favorite triggers I can never seem to find is I guess you would call it poorly-spoken english. Little things like in this video (“This very excite for me”, etc) are super relaxing to me because they give my brain something to work on subconsciously while I fall asleep. “Very excite” becomes “very excited” and so on without keeping me too occupied. I really wish there were more videos like this, to the point where probably 80% of my ASMR subs are to non-native English speakers. Is this just something weird that I like or are there others out there that enjoy this trigger?

Yeah, I get it. To me it's not as much about the "accent" side of it, but about the usage of words. For example, an english speaking person that just messes up phrases (like saying "me mum's stayed living at..."). I also relaly like slang terms/coloquialisms. I also really enjoy roleplays in which what is being done seems illegitimate (like worst reviewed, or someone that sounds like a complete charlatan). My brain just goes into a "this is absolute hogwash, let's see where this goes" kind of mood and just points out everything that doesn't seem true/correct/a good idea throughout it all...but in an actually relaxing way, I guess? Never heard anyone mention it, so it must be a weird trigger 😅😅

Yeah I 100% agree with that. Like broken English or slightly oddly-phrased things either unintentional or intentional are super calming for me. Also the same for overly proper speech in ASMR or speaking with older/less commonly used words.

I think one I have is compliments worked in naturally. Like “you are perfect” “wow your hair is so soft” that feels so organic and gives me so many tingles. But if it feels too heavy or like it doesn’t flow for some reason I don’t get the tingles so idk why I’m like that 🤷‍♀️
