A very nice video Deez....From watching many other shoe shine videos, both asmr and regular, I have learned that before the polish/wax is applied, you really need to do 2 preliminary steps first...number one is by either using a brush or rag, you need to clean any dust off the shoe, and especially between the upper and sole last....number two is...you need to apply a good leather conditioner to help preserve the leather..rubbing it in well, then removing any remaining excess...then you are ready to start with the polishing....but I must say your video is very relaxing and kind of sensual and very enjoyable....

+jewellm61 Thanks, I'me glad you liked it in the end. It is very subjective. It's so hard to please everyone. If I didn't talk there would be some people who would have preferred content with talking. I may go back and see what I've written in the description box. Hopefully I've described that there is a little bit of soft talking included. If not, I will change it so that viewers are aware before they watch so they don't get disappointed. Yep, as the rag helps spread more evenly and is more controllable. I don't mean that brush polishing is more popular nowadays, I mean traditional in the sense of tradition. It was the most popular by far until the late 80's, when microfiber cloths that don't streak started coming out. Many middle-aged people use this method. A plus is that you can clean the brush easily and use it with different colours, while rags you have to throw away. Another is that the brushes (especially the small one with which you apply the paste) help work the paste in the wrinkles and pores better which if you are meticulous leads to a better shine in the end. The polishing you will do it with the large brush anyway, as with a rag it is difficult to make a very thin film of the paste (which shines better).

Maybe I'm being picky, but the only sound I want to hear is the sound of a rag and brush. No talking, whispering, and no tapping. That spoils everything. I have noticed that those things don't bother everyone. I guess it depends on what YOU like.
