In Turkish the letter “ğ” has no sounds at all :) We literally call it “soft g” but it has nothing to do with the sound of the “g”. We use “ğ” to lenghten the sound of the vowel before itself.

In Japanese there are 3 writing systems, kanji, hiragana, and katakana. Japanese was made just so rich people could learn it and it'd exclude the poor people (reason why its so hard to learn), so its based/taken a bunch of words from other languages. Kanji is based off of Chinese characters and katakana is for foreign words. Japanese 'letters' are called character as well as Chinese and I think Korean. Everyone is taught a certain stroke order so it all looks pretty and the same. It's very interesting to see other languages that the Japanese language uses!
@hauntingurmom3 жыл бұрын
Ex: bread in Spanish and Japanese are both pan ( パン) Another cool fact is that Japanese is the closest to the German pronunciation of Germany (Deutschland). In Japanese they say doitsu (ドイツ)
@hauntingurmom3 жыл бұрын
Ohhh also if you ever come across the word romanji its the english letters for characters. Example はじめまして in romanji would be hajimemashite and that is the way you would pronounce it.

your korean handwriting looks better than mine! no but fr you did a great job in korean (and german too, the ß is a s sound btw)
@ruveliene2 жыл бұрын
I’m from Germany, I don’t know much German, but from what I was taught, ß is pronounced like a strong S! W is pronounced V and a V is pronounced F with a V aftertaste- if that makes sense 😅 You did pretty good for not knowing anything though! I also picked up a little French, stopped after a week but the s in “vous” actually does have a sound! it’s pronounced more like a Z! You had originally said you don’t think it does, but I understand why compared to other languages you probably know better!
@cahr8343 Жыл бұрын
Vraiment pas, la lettre «s» en le mot «vous» est pronounced comme un «z» uniquement s’il est suivi d’une voyelle Not really, the s in the word “vous” is only pronounced like a “z” only if followed by a vowel
