Musing Mira ASMR

Күн бұрын

Hey hey, stuff below.
I posted this one on the 4th of July because I know it can be a difficult holiday for many with all the fireworks and whatnot. I'm not a therapist or psychologist. But I am someone that once upon a time was diagnosed with CPTSD. I'm extremely blessed to have come a long way since then.
Healing is a hard process, and I hope that if this finds you in a moment of need, that it can provide comfort and peace. Making this style of video is my way of reaching a hand back, having walked the path, and saying 'if I can, you can too.'
You are not alone. And you are so so very loved. ❤

Thank you for this wonderful, calming video Mira! There was a time when I hid my panic disorder from friends and family, telling them that I got "bad headaches" or that I was "too busy today" to hang out etc, and it just made me feel isolated and miserable. I still get them, but the people around me know and support me now which helps so much.

The one thing that really comes through in this (and your migraine videos) is a deep sense of empathy and compassion. Simple, yet marvelously powerful.

Sometimes a steady voice and a grounding hand on a shoulder can be what's needed to calm panic from loud noises. Thank you for providing a virtual equivalent for those who do not have that available. ❤

I have really bad paranoia and this video helped me simply because I don't feel alone. My fears are still here and specifically for me I know they're irrational, but it calms me a bit to know that I'm not alone because in my brain being alone means being vulnerable, and being vulnerable means you're more likely to get hurt. Emotionally or physically. The reminder that I'm not too much to handle and that people care about me also helps. I know you're not physically here with me, but thank you for being virtually here with us Mira. I appreciate your genuine sympathy. I can feel it through the screen

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this. You are such a calming presence, and I am very grateful to you for sharing that with us. Also, thank you for acknowledging that bringing attention to your breathing can sometimes cause more stress. I've never watched a video of this type that brought that up, and it means a lot to feel seen.

Damn. I just had a massive breakdown this morning and I've been crying on and off this afternoon. Grief, mourning, anxiety, sorrow. So many tears. I'm going through a lot lately and I miss my brother. He passed a few years ago from cancer. It's not new but he was like my heart twin and my best friend. I'm missing him really hard today and I'm going through a lot. I didn't have a panic attack, per se. I've had plenty of those before. But I still needed this. I really did. Thanks for the perfect timing. ❤😭❤️

@@musingmira it helps a lot. Your voice and movements are calming. You're very good at helping with grounding myself. Even when your videos are just silly roleplays, they always bring me back to my body when I'm having a hard time. I use a lot of different tools like meditation for grounding and spirituality/psychology. But I love ASMR for those tingles and centering calm. It brings me back to childhood; I feel like it nurtures the inner child and the current adult. And I love your videos! You're good at what you do. ❤️ I appreciate it. And this video is really nice. I'm still listening to it. ❤️ And I'll definitely be listening to it later again. Thank you for making things. ❤️

I know that everything you said comes from the heart, and you have been helping many people for a long time. While watching the video I was really moved by your words and you know how far you have worked to get here. I don't know you personally, but for the look in your eyes I would only like to send you a big hug despite the distance. Take care! 🤍

hi! this might sound like an invasive question, and I'm sorry if it does, but would you mind informing me on what medication you take and how you went about obtaining it? is it prescription, over the counter, etc? do you need to seek out an official diagnosis? I've had (unofficially diagnosed) general anxiety my whole life, and though I've found ways to manage it, recently in my life it's been getting worse to the point of giving me debilitating anxiety & panic attacks that I find so hard to manage. I just became an adult and am considering seeking a diagnosis / treatment options as I move into my first year of college. would you mind educating me on the process of getting medicated, if at all possible? how effective is it? thank you so much :]

Thank you Mira for this video! Ironically I have a hard time with prepping for vacations and travel. I’ve done it a thousand times but I still get overwhelming anxiety days prior that causes me not to sleep. I get paralyzed with stuff I need to do and get anxious the night before. Tonight I’m using this video to help relieve some of that anxiety so I can have a good time rather than worrying about the preparation of everything.

Got to this a day late, otherwise we'd be looking at a startling coincidence. Not sure how, watching this when you posted it, what the improvement would've looked like. But the one thing I probably wouldn't have done was turn to the liquor in my fridge to drown out my upsetness, which in turn got me so lit that by instinct I wandered to a downtown bar to drown some more. It made the panic attack go away, but at what cost? I miss having a mind and a body that legitimately feel attached. Getting the sync back has been on my to-do list since I was 12. So when you suggested taking stock of the body, it was worth a try. I think I almost succeeded.

Thank you for creating a resource like this. I’m an ER nurse and we often get people coming in with panic attacks. And while I do sympathize with what these folks are experiencing, it isn’t an emergency. We don’t have the resources or staff to deal with a very distressing, but non emergent issue. It’s nice that there is something like this that people can turn to instead that makes them feel safe and understood. Well done.

1) never once did I say people needed to keep their panic disorders to themselves. Obviously. 2) I hate to break it to you, but you don’t know what you’re talking about. Our emergency systems are crushed under the volume of pts coming through our doors. Many of whom would be much more appropriate for an instant care. I physically cannot do CPR on one person and help another breathe through a panic attack at the same time, much as I’d like to. I have to prioritize those that are at risk of losing life/limb. I want everyone to get the help they need. ER’s just aren’t always the place. Kindly get over yourself.
