I'm 17 and still play with these, I have the orange tracks and everything, my girlfriend calls me immature so when she takes naps (heavy sleeper) I build tracks with a ramp at the end to hit her with them. Maybe I am a little immature but the world may never know.

Man, back when I was younger I remember looking for rare or collectible cars called Treasure Hunts for Hot Wheels. My dad and I took us to either a Target, Kmart, or Toys R Us early in the mornings to look for them. We actually went to hot wheel conventions to look at huge Hot Wheels racetracks, other peoples collection and more. We probably have over 100 Treasure Hunts lying in the garage somewhere. Thanks for bringing back the memories! Loved the collection and video as well. Til next time!

I do sometimes buy a handful of Hot Wheels if I'm passing by a toy store. I used to collect them a lot when I was much younger, and it does make me very sentimental. It reminds me of when times were so much simpler, and I've always liked the neat little details the cars often have.

When I was a kid I had a collection of over 300 hot wheels cars, and probably a quarter mile of assorted orange track to go with it lol. I wish I still had them today, cause I'd set up a track in my college apartment!

People you wouldn't believe you could do this but I used to take all my cars and play football with them. Lined them up on my bed, full teams, ran plays and everything. Color coded teams even. You could tell my favorites because paint had worn off on them, almost like they were the veterans. My mom got rid of them after I'd moved away and I was sooo depressed after that.

I loved matchbox cars when I was a kid! My son is in college now and I still have his. He collected them. Last I counted there were about 250-ish. I stopped counting but they are all in a box. :) Thanks for sharing! Loved this!

Watching this video reminded me of my Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars that my friends and I had as kids. It's strange, I can remember some of the smallest details about them. My friend's little brother had one that had a small plastic exhaust piece, and if you pulled it, the seat slid out of the car to the side. I always loved the ones that had moveable parts. Opening doors, hoods that opened to show the engine, and I loved the way the wheels moved. Very neat video.

Hot Wheels And Matchbox are made and owned by the same company Mattel. Mattel also has Barbie and American girl dolls. I also think they own Fisher Price? I think but I'm not sure. I'm 16 and have been collecting scence before I can remember. I have over 5,000 and I don't think I'll ever stop collecting. also the RD 1-10 are from a movie. RD stands for racing drones and they were used in the hot wheels Acceleracers movie series

I have a box of these in my closet. When I was younger I had this huge T-Rex Hot wheels thing that was at least 2 or 3 feet tall and you were meant to have to have cars in its mouth and you would launch other cars up its back with this thing that had motorized wheels which you would stick the car in between and you aimed to hit a button of sorts that would open the mouth and drop the cars. I do not remember what happened to that thing, Probably ended up in Goodwill or something.
