Hello Storm Shadow. I am a Paramedic and an EMS instructor from the UK, working and living in the US. When I was working the road, I used ASMR to allow me escape and rest. Thank you for what you do. Your rested body and mind saves more lives than your exhausted one would. So, you are doing a favor to yourself as well as your future patients.

@@Saffron-sugar Thanks Saffron, I work for Fire & Rescue, but some of our work at the moment is supporting the Paramedics & Military in our area. You are so right, ASMR has been a real comfort for mind & body. Thank you so much for your service, here & in the US.

@@rachelhendrickson3028 I don't have kids, yet 😟 , but I can imagine that's quite stressful and at the same time working as a health professional. ASMR is a much needed way of relaxation between shifts. Thank you for all you do. Please take care and stay safe 💗

I had been taking a break from watching these, but circled back last night. I have to say your presentation is getting a lot better in terms of the composition of the picture and the lighting. The scene behind you is much better. And most importantly, the camera focus was actually on the pocket-watch this time, instead of staying on your face and the watch being a bit blurry. Great work! As usual, I was out like a light and didn't make it through the whole thing. Thank you and great job!

Are those Canada Geese I heard faintly in the background? (...asked the Canadian 🇨🇦). Thank you again for reminding me to live “in the now”. It takes practice, much like getting back to my guitar, or my yoga mat, etc. Perhaps as it is a concept, and not a tangible object we pass by daily, one can forget to practice healthy thinking. Be kind to yourself, and realize all things take patience & time to learn. However, it is exciting to reap the rewards, even if gradual & small.

Maybe you can find an Hour Glass, real or virtual, for your next visual relaxation induction tool. Maybe I should find one to put on my shelf, as a visual cue to live less in my head, more in the present moment. 😉

Small tip, if you're going to use a point of concentration like a pocket watch don't move it around quickly, like in this video. I know it wasn't moving very far, but it isn't about the length of the movement, it's about the everything being the same relative slow tempo. So your speaking, your movements and your object should be at the same relative speed. At the speed that the watch was moving it was more of an irritation than a relaxant. I would honestly just have them focus on your lava lamp instead. It's the perfect slow speed and it won't ever be an irritation. If you really want to use the watch don't move it back and forth, just spin it very slowly. It will have the desired effect.

Something to improve. Whatever mechanism you are using to record yourself does this weird adjusting almost constantly. It’s like it is trying focus, but the video is never blurry. It also seems to happen It happens in almost all your videos. It is very distracting.
