I never once got to trick or treat growing up. We were raised Jehovahs Witness. In fact my mom made us pass out flyers to our neighbor friends that explained the pagan origins of Halloween, instead of candy! 😖😭 Now it’s my favorite holiday, because I feel like I’m making up for lost memories. I’ll never get to know what trick or treating feels like, but giving candy out to all the little people is sure fun!

B Huffy I need to meet your mom 😂 it’s so hard to be so into it like that and to be obedient & with restrictions😭 I salute the ones who truly do it and do it from the heart, not to try to show off and feel better than others cause it’s easier to do bad things or to be in the darkness than it is to be obedient to a law that’s perfect to people who are far from perfect to in return live a righteous peaceful perfect life perfection comes with laws. Idk that’s how i think of it but as much as I learn from him I drink and smoke a lot and live a toxic life so... salute to your mom man 😭 buuuut I don’t agree with the not taking the kids trick or treating, 😂 I have 2 kids and I take them but when you’re a kid you don’t understand that well and everyone around celebrates it so why do that, when they get older I will just explain what I think of it but damn that’s harsh. 😂😂 everywhere you go it’s a holiday being advertised and everyone preparing and talking about it 😭😭 smh 😂😂😂 I’m going to make sure my kids enjoy them 😂😂

As an adult who was never allowed to participate in Halloween as a child (for religious reasons) but thoroughly enjoys it now--live it up, girl! I dress myself and my house up every year! I completely agree with your feelings on teenagers; I would rather encourage them to stay young and have them there than at a party. But I definitely DO judge the parents with tiny babies who clearly cannot eat the candy, haha.

I live in a state that has a lot of rural areas- no sidewalks, one house per mile, lots of farm fields. So some of the upper class neighborhoods (with 3 story houses and mansions and fancy cars) get bombarded with rural trick or treaters who can't go in their area and know those upper class families can afford to buy a ton of candy and decorate really fun.

I’m all for teenagers trick or treating if they dress up. My cousins came with us and tried to show up in just their clothes I was like 👀 boyysss you better get in that house, go in my closet and pick something out lol. And I’m sorry to hear about your childhood experience with Halloween but so happy it didnt pass onto you and you choose to enjoy the holidays 😊

I’m super afraid of clowns as well! When there was that clown thing going on a couple years ago, clowns showed up to my college campus and a bunch were walking around menacingly when I walked out of one of my evening classes one night. I had a full blown panic attack, ran back inside and called my partner and best friend sobbing because it freaked me out so bad. 😩

My mom never took me trick or treating, and always made it a hassle to get me a costume. And we went by ourselves. My older cousins lived in the same neighborhood so I went with them. Now I get so excited to take my son out. To the point he was so tired Thursday night, he wanted to go home before I did lol! It was freezing cold and the wind was ridiculous but we stuck it out... my five year old just couldn’t hang lol. I attached led lights to his hoodie, and I found a “realistic” alien mask on amazon and he was the coolest alien!

I know that it's been awhile since you've made this video but I just have to say, I listen to you all the time and I have for quite a few years. You've been doing this since when? I just know that you have become one of my very favorite ASMR artists and it's not just because you're so good at what you do and I can relax quickly with your voice and your creative style. It's also, that you take such care in the gifts and the provisions that you give, even total strangers, during the holiday seasons. I wasn't raised in a family where holidays were accentuated and or centered around children.... So it means so much to see you do the Christmas giving tree, the way you frugally spend your money but yet you're so extravagantly in you're giving. In Buffalo, we had monsoon rains and 60mph winds so there weren't that many trick or treaters. We all have so much candy left over. Big disappointment for the little kids.

We didn't trick or treat as kids as we are in Australia it hasn't been apart of our tradition until the recent years kids are getting in to it over here now however it makes it hard because we have so many raised that we don't celebrate so a lot still do not do it

Hypothetically, allegedly, I grew up with the kind of teenagers who got in from their part-time jobs (on Halloween) and went straight out with bags of any kind to get free food of any kind, trekking to the richest neighbourhoods they could to get the best bang for their non-existent buck, haha. I'm sure some of them _were_ just rude or thoughtless, but there's a chance some of them, hypothetically, might've just been exhausted and, in spite of it all, tryin' to get a couple days' worth of free food, even if it was unhealthy food. Part of the reason, allegedly, they might've looked in the bag before stalking off, could've been, hypothetically, to gauge if there was enough for their purpose, if they could go home, now, you know? The things you do could have consequences you never know about-- giving out candy to those teens with all your grace and kindness, instead of doing what some people do and saying, "You're too old, I'm not giving you anything," probably had some pretty good consequences here and there, even if you didn't really see them or it didn't really seem it. Anyway, sorry for the ramble, this video is really fun and tingly and comforting, thank you so much for making it!

My uncle's wife was a clown for a while. I remember one year on my birthday, maybe my early 20s, she came clomping up the driveway with those humongous red shoes to bring me a balloon animal. Fully decked out in clown ensemble, she hugged me, and I ended up getting some of the plastic fiber curly red hair in my mouth. It was awful. I've never liked clowns. I used to think of John Wayne Gacy every time I saw her.

1988 was the last year I trick or treated,I was 12 years old and had already felt like I had outgrown trick or treating.We used to really emphasize the “Trick “ part of Trick or Treat . I mean we literally had neighborhood wars, I’m talking smoke bombs,bottle rockets, string confetti,and of course Toilet paper.we used to destroy Pumpkins with fireworks.As I’m sure you know, the 80s was.a kickass fun time to be a kid. Today’s stuff is lame and calm and all Politically correct

Because shes talkling about her neighbors, and by repeatedly saying "Theoretically" it's basically saying these events may or may not be true, even though everyone knows it's real. Yeah, I actually lost count after the 19th "Theoretically".. Lol. A lot of KZbinrs in the drama community say it. Some believe it covers you legally just in case someone wanted to take legal action.
