Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a term used for an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia. ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterised by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific acoustic, visual and digital media stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attentional control.

I really like your videos because you're fluid with your thoughts. The most annoying thing about ASMR videos is when people are uncertain about what they are saying, and it's as if every sentence they speak is given from a que card that comes 5 seconds too late. Then he realizes he's making it worse, so after banging my head a few more times, he decides he needs to go deeper and he literally pulls out a pair of scissors and cuts my hair, ruining my haircut. Then he starts doing some wacky nonsense, trying to play got-your-heart with me like I'm a baby, and whacks me a good while longer, and starts telling me my heart is strong and my third eye is beautiful. (Creeper.) On the upside, I'm no longer in a state of spiritual flux, so thanks, Doc!
