I bet the people in Australia were like "aye what's this mate doing?" Also do a vid where you go from tree to tree and tap the bark and see which one was best.

13:58 I wanted you to spy on those people so bad, lolol. "... but I know I shouldn't". You're a better man than me. I loved the close up of the tree and map, it knocked me right out last night. Such a cool idea to hop up in the tree. You never fail to inspire me.

Aww man this is my fave ASMR video right now. Love all the variety of outdoor sounds...almost like being able to take my work outside. Loving your explanation of tingles; I'm not much of a tingles guy either but what you describe, I have felt. That weird mix of good, and possibly not good excitement.

Man your videos are all I watch, I literally watch no one else!!! You have the asmr thing down really well, you don't whisper super loud or completely destroy people ears with bass, you have a soft voice, that sounds kind, it's a gift, many people wish they could have. Make sure to remember that, you have a gift, man :)

In being new to the ASMR community, I'm just now remembering things I used to do that were actually my triggers, like chewing my hair, collecting my mom's old coupons, and crinkling the corners of pages in all of my textbooks throughout school. I agree that everyone should be capable of experiencing ASMR whether they're aware of it or not, and I think it's not limited to audio, visual, and tactile triggers. It should be possible with all of our senses. (I can be triggered by the sensation of biting into anything with brown sugar, but maybe that's more tactile than taste.) I think studying ASMR is important too because it's a way of learning about ourselves the way that something like meditation should, yet meditating is easier said than done. I'll forget to meditate, but I won't forget how much I want to relax by listening to soft spoken ASMR. Even though they could very well count as the same activity.. ASMR seems so exotic because of how little we know about it scientifically, but it feels very intuitive because many people already know the experience of it. I can see how tingles can be pleasant or unpleasant depending on the context and quality of triggers. I think that the way to most reliably and satisfactorily find one's triggers is to have and observe more authentic interactions with the world and others and to observe oneself, vs. some of the more "manufactured" experiences shared on KZbin or wherever. That said, I do love a good ramble. :p (I like the black books in the intro, btw.) Now I wish I could escape from winter to someplace warm. 😆🌍☀️ Edit: Also, you don't have to reply, because I know that feeling. 😅

I really enjoyed this video, I always love the soft speaking and this video was filled with it 😄 Don’t worry about not uploading for a bit tho, traveling gets hectic and it’s best to upload when it feels right to you! I was torn about whether to watch your interview. You know how when you read a book you have a very clear image of the characters in your head and when they make the film they get it all wrong? Then I remembered that your early videos pretty much included most of your face, so my imagination and the reality already matched about 80% :) You came across very well and it was great to see some behind the scenes action. I can only imagine how awkward it must have felt to be recorded by a stranger while doing ASMR. I can’t even record in front of my wife! Thank you for putting forward a respectable representation of ASMR for the mainstream.
