I have a really bad phobia of vomiting. When I'm out with friends I often tell them not to eat certain things or go on rides or do certain things, and whenever someone is sick (with a cold, or even if they cough) I'm always asking if they feel sick or nauseous. It's really annoying and I know everyone around me is annoyed by it too...

I can’t watch anything that goes into too much detail though or if they start showing graphic pictures. Ok wow... Ive never tried asmr before. My friend linked this to me so I decided to give it a try 2 days ago. Im suffering from depression, panic disorder and sleeping problems. 2 days ago I put this on from earplugs when I went to sleep and Im amazed how well this worked for me! Youre first asmr artist ive ever listened and I am highly satisfied! You help me to sleep better and I feel like it helps to my panic disorder as well! Youre amazing! :)

I feel the same way about eating and mouth sounds, and it bothers me because there are a quite a few of otherwise awesome channels I can’t watch because they do that too intentionally. It’s maddening! But it makes me enjoy your channel that much more 😁 And I have an irrational phobia of balloons, since I was a child. Not the popping sound, but just the feel of them, something about that inflated thing just creeps me out. And helium ones are extra creepy, especially when they are losing helium and start floating around like ghosts. 😩🤷🏻‍♀️

ASMRMagic I’m surprised you’ve not heard of Dennis, as he died a couple of weeks ago - a very interesting case. Now I’m going to look at some pictures of submarines to see how I feel about them! Big things in water do freak me out, like pictures of whales near boats and super tankers near coastal towns. I nearly died when I went to the Natural History Museum and there was a full size blue whale hanging from the ceiling. 🐋❤️

I enjoy exploring phobias with people (Im a therapist) and while some phobias are more obvious, the key to understanding the obscure ones is to figure out what it symbolizes. Phobias are much like dreams and work in symbols and codes. So we might ask ourselves, what does the object of our fear mean to us? What does it represent? I once helped a woman figure out why she had a long time fear of: not driving, but getting lost while driving. After some investigating, we discovered it was about her fear of getting "lost" mentally (her mother suffered from schizophrenia). The mind works in mysterious ways!

With your anxiety, sometimes it takes many tries to find the right medication to help you. I was through five or so before finding the one that worked. Therapy helped immensely as well, though I resisted it for a looooong time!

I know I have said this before but I love listening to you talk. Your voice calms my anxiety. Most people can't tell I have anxiety and am extremely shy because I'm always smiling and greeting people walking by. I can't help myself but to smile😊. Even as a baby my mother told how much I would smile at everyone and in every baby picture of me I was smiling. I love making people smile, especially passerby. I like to think that if I bring a smile to someone's face who might be having a horrible day or just a sullen day then it's worth it to be kind and respectful in any and all social situations. I have a phobia of the deep ocean and the vastness of it although I love to swim and I used to surf when I lived in California(where I was born and raised until the age of 13). I love this video because you were so open and brave about it. I wish you lived in the states, in Michigan to exact. I would adore having a chance to get to know you more personally. I guess it shall remain a fantasy amidst the day dreams No worries hun. You're so wonderful Miss Magic! I love you and how many similarities we have with our personalities. I'm a Sagittarius also. When I was young, I was home alone and I put some pizza in the toaster oven and I caught the toaster on fire because the cheese had dripped down on to the heated bit and caught fire. I eventually put it out but I never used the toaster oven ever again and I have a phobia of toaster ovens

FluffyPuppyDog :D evacuated 3 floors at my dorm Freshman year cuz I had a "backdraft" when I opened the door to my toaster oven after forgetting bread in there. Opened dorm room door to air out not realizing a smoke detector for the building was just outside my door. Oopsie, sorry hungover co-eds evacuating at 730a on a Sunday. 😆

I have a bit of an answer to the bit about why people purposely scare themselves, or just a bit of a comment on it really. I’m the same way, and watch a lot of horror movies/dark documentaries and also have anxiety, and my therapist brought something like this up a while ago when I mentioned that I like horror films. I believe she said something about how some people like being purposely scared if they know it’s coming, or something like that, but it scares them later and gives them nightmares etc., and it’s a very common thing in people with anxiety. I don’t remember exactly why, and that might not be precisely it, but it’s actually very interesting and I’d recommend looking it up if you’re intrigued by that sort of thing!
