I was inspired by you. I got 3 seniors off an Angel tree. They had no kids on this one. One lady only asked for hard candies, so you know I had to get her a lot more than that. It was so much fun. I am hoping they like their gifts. 🎄

Angel Tree Kids FAQs: 1. Yes, this process is completely anonymous. The kids/parents/guardians will never know who I was, and vice versa, as it should be. 2. No, I don't have any way to "prove" that the parents/guardians will actually give the presents to the kids. 3. Yes, there is a possibility that they'll sell the presents and keep the money for themselves...However, I can say that the facility that manages this particular Angel Tree knows the parents/guardians and children personally. They are all vetted and known to at least one employee there. These aren't just people who walked in off the street and filled out a form. 3a. (I prefer not to automatically assume the worst in any given situation, especially if it's a situation where I'll never know one way or the other how it played out.) 4. Yes, I spend significantly more per child than that required $75-100. I do what I want. 5. Yes, I suppose I could spend less per child and adopt more children off the tree. I could also just give every kid a Hershey bar and adopt them all. Maybe take some of that speculative energy and put it into helping someone in your own community instead of wasting it here. I'll add to this list as the Grinches show up and find more problems where none existed previously. * If the audio sounds bad, try going to Settings - Additional Settings - Stable Volume, and turn Stable Volume off. Our family just dropped off our angel tree gifts. They are all for moms who have recently moved out of our local woman’s shelter. We don’t wrap them because the moms want to do it. We do provide paper to wrap them with though. ❤

Ah, enjoyed this 😊. Isn’t it funny how we all approach things differently? Mary likes the front of the gifts facing away from the sellotaped side. I always wrap mine so the front is the same side as the sellotape, so that when the children unwrap the gift, they see the front immediately on opening. Thank you for being so inspiring Mary! I always make a 1/2 inch fold over on the unfinished edges that will be showing before taping down so it reinforces the edges and you don’t have to use as much tape!

My mom and I usually do a few of these letters off one of our local trees. I don't know if the store that was hosting it this year was greedy or if most kids truly wanted specifically gift cards to the store itself, but those felt truly uninspiring. I would think the store could add a gift card ON TOP of what the kids specifically wanted. But perhaps that's too anti-capitalist of me to expect.
