Why this video is great for all people with vaginas: 1. The video begins with a sexual health “gift” given in a kind, supportive way which normalizes the ears and brain to sexual health 2. She ASKS PERMISSION for a pelvic exam and tells you that you can stop the exam at any time, which normalizes body autonomy. 3. She is open, honest, and natural about the parts of the exam that might get uncomfortable and makes arrangements to make sure the “person” feels okay which normalizes the ears and brain to what good quality sexual healthcare sounds like. 4. She tells the “person” to love their body and stay away from people who are bad for them which normalizes healthy self-relationships. 5. She is just generally really kind and supportive sounding. 🖤

I have a suggestion for another video on this topic. When a pap smear comes back as abnormal, it is an indicator of HPV. If you get enough abnormal tests in a row, eventually they will want to take a few biopsies to test to see if you have cancer. Its a very unpleasant and painful experience. They generally dont give any medication to help with it. The entire process is so stressful and scary. I think doing an ASMR video covering that procedure would be such a comfort for women during that difficult time. Itd also be very informative and prepare women for what they may experience.
