Sometimes I get really frustrated with some of the characters. They learn so much about humans and predators but never stop repeating the same bigotry in their minds about every little thing. Like holy feck, you think they'd get after months of constantly living and working with a predator species that it's not something in a person's genes.

Is it just me or do the Trilfish (the spider-with-ant-head species) not sound too scary? The story makes it seem like all of the humans have a phobia instead of the regular levels of fear that irl humans have. After all, spiders are very beneficial to pest control.
