It's interesting that the names of the direwolves reflected the personalities of their masters. Grey Wind belonged to Robb, who was known for his ferocity and speed in battle. Lady belonged to Sansa, and it's pretty self-explanatory. Nymeria, named after a warrior queen, belonged to Arya, an assassin. Summer belonged to Bran, the sweet summer child. Shaggydog belonged to Rickon, the wild and shaggy child who was pretty much raised by a wildling and never got to be nurtured into lordship. Finally, Ghost belonged to Jon, the invisible child who was despised and ignored by his step-mother, and who never really fit in.

twelve11 I don't remember Robb or Sansa ever been shown having wolf dreams or anything of the sort. Considering they have red hair, probably the Tully blood was more dominant in Robb and Sansa

Robb lost faith, and was unable to let himself do it. Sansa never developed it. But they are all wrags. Sansa will most likely inter birds. Since that is what she is compaired to most. And it will only happen if she is raped. Or something traumatic happens and her mind needs to escape.

“Bran noticed that Jon’s Direwolf is the only one that has it’s eyes opened” that means that ghost is the oldest of the litter, and we all know that each Direwolf represents it’s owner so that may imply that Jon is the oldest of the Stark children not Robb.

I think Robb can also warg into Grey Wind. There were a few events that hints it. Unfortunately,he doesn't have a POV in the books so we can't say for sure.

Where Arya was blind she learnt a little how to control her warging abilities. She warg to cats and seeing from their eyes. Jon also can see from Ghost eyes even awake.

Great vid but you missed out a lot of ghost's story, like when they went north on the great ranging, when ghost helped Jon kill the halfhand, when Jon told ghost to find him later when he went to climb the wall, and when they were reunited eventually.

If I have said it once, I mean it a thousand times, I love your channel and you do an excellent job. This was the very first Song of Ice and FIre..... well anything I spent any time with aside from the book themselves. There is sometimes a tug-of-war with fans about how much or how little the show and the book are used or changed or omitted or.... well there is a big thing about everything with that lot ... which made this really stand out to me. You never bring it up with anything other than an identifying caption in the video title. I Love that! Granted I am of a mindset that loves both and I see no reason to complain about getting more of a good thing. I Kinda drifted there, hilarious. At any rate, umm, great job, love the channel, I wish more content was about enjoying the material, and I am very glad that you present master class caliber content to set example of how to do so, which is made even more admirable in how you execute such a task successfully.... by not bringing it up.

Greywind has smoke dark fur with yellow-gold eyes. same colour as Theon's house sigil, the golden Kraken on a black background. battle after battle, Greywind and Robb's relationship becomes distant similar to Robb and Theon and Greywind getting trapped is similar to Theon getting trapped by Ramsey. If Greywind survives the ordeal and the pain, it would wander and march towards Theon, who is suffering and atoning for his past.

Greywind was killed at the red wedding and his head was sewn onto Robb Stark’s body by the Freys so he can’t join Theon and he never was close to Theon to begin with, he was always Robb’s.

Yes, but he was also mute in the books. He is described in the appendix as "white and silent", and one of his brothers ((I think it was Summer) thinks of him as "the white one who has no voice"

Not Bill Clinton I actually don't think he was runt of the litter. Jon thinks he was rejected, but Jon generally feels like outsider in Starks family. We saw from Arya perspective that Ghost was bigger than rest of them. And rest of direwolves thinks about him as about brother. Futhermore maybe even as a alfa male when we see Nymeria's behaviour toward Ghost. And about mute.. Probably. So far he has never made sound, but I am wondering he didn't do it when Jon was stabbed or when Jon will make his comeback. It would be great :D

Definitely prefer Direwolves over Dragons, not only are they deadly and intelligent but they are also much more loyal and tame and less likely to lash out and kill innocent people (unlike Dragons who are untamable and do whatever they want regardless of who gets hurt, those monsters really should've stayed extinct)

The books have done everything better than the show....well up too about begginin of season 5 it was rather close but the show always did wrong by the direwolves in my opinion....i know its expensive cgi...but like the books as of now....summer is alive...shaggydog...grey wind...nymeria and ghost were treated much better and r alive!!!! We all know how the show done em...ghost almost dies fighting in the extremely short long night...when going south jon just asks tormund to take him and just pisses off like ghost wasnt shit...however he was correct....south wasnt a good place for ghost and the North/wall/far north would suit him much better...and instead of a huge pack...in show nymeria had like 8 wolves w/ her....now the pack in books is a really bad ass pack....the shows was cool but not like the book....

Quite easily really. A hit to the head by a hoof of a stag can cause severe concussion or even skull fracture. A hard hit by the antler can also lead to a deep wound.
