I just had this really strange theory. What if, by the end of the show, Danny will die and the way she died is by sacraficing herself the same way Azor Ahai's wife did. In this case, Jon would be Azor Ahai, and her blood, is what turns jon's blade into literal fire? The reason i think this might be possible is because in the house of the undying we see snow on the iron throne. Which alot of people speculate it means jon would be on the iron throne. Which it'd make more sense for him to be on the iron throne if Danny wasn't alive, because i really doubt she'd be cool with him just being on it after all she's been through. Also, still in the house of the undying, we see that Danny has a vision of what can only be described as the after life, so it's pretty certain she'll die by the end of the story. George RR also told us that the story would have a bitter sweet ending, and what would be more bitter sweet than having Danny die for the sake of the realm? Other reasons i thought it would be possible is because the story is called a song of ice and fire. It's pretty obvious Danny is the fire, but it's also pretty certain jon is the Ice. Another thing would be the last line in the quaithe's prophecy "to touch the light you must pass beneath the shadow", maybe the shadow refers to death, and the light refers to lightbringer, Azor Ahai's legendary sword. Idk, maybe i'm grapsing at straws, feel free to pick apart the theory.

I think Daenerys is the fire and the ice are the white walkers. I forgot about her visions in the house of the undying. That actually adds to my theory I think the snow on the throne could represent Westeros(kings landing even) Being taken by the others. My theory is that Daenerys is Azor Ahia and her dragons are the "flaming sword" She'll reclaim Westeros after the white walkers take over completely. On the bitter sweet ending I think most character besides Dani will be killed off and since Daenerys really isn't a fan favorite it'll suck for some people having her end up being the hero of a song of fire and ice.

lightshadow121 Idk about her not being a fan favorite, shes definitely up there. I was kind of on board with that theory until jon snow's death and Resurrection. Killing off a character is a big deal, especially in game of thrones. It seems unlikely that he got raised from the dead just to play a minor role in things to come. I don't think she'll get there after the white walkers have already taken over. It doesn't seem like she'll be staying in slaver's bay much longer consider that ships are going to her right now. Idk, jon representing the ice part of the song which maybe fights daenerys or helps her push back the white walkers makes more sense to me.

I'm a little confused about the Night's King. According to the lore, he was a commander of the Night's Watch and became a worshiper, but I heard from the show creators that the man sacrificed in S6EP5 is indeed the Night's King. I guess they're taking some liberties, but in the books do they specify at all about the commander of the White Walkers?

The Night King we known in the show is likely the original Other, weather the books do something similar to this isn't known rn(tho there is evidence of a Great Other). +Eddie LM In addition to this, we *know* that there is a shit ton of unreliable narration in this story, and we know from old European and Asian cartography, that middle age people don't know shit about maps. Essos might very well curve upwards beyond Asshai, or even somewhere around the Dothraki sea. After all, there is little to none civilization in many parts of Essos, and only handful of westerosi have ever explored the continent. Also, I can't figure out where the equator is in planetos. There are dark skinned people in the summer isles, so if we take our world as an example, that must mean a warmer, sunnier climate can be found to the south. It would seem that Dorne is like Spain/Morocco, with The Reach and the Westerlands bein France, the Riverlands Germany, the North Scandinavia and so on, but that would place the equator a good distance south of Dorne, and that would mean that Planetos is something like 2½-3 times the length of Westeros, and naturally the same width, since it's a globe. We have absolutely no idea what's south of Dorne, and what's west of the Iron Islands, as well as what's north of the lands of always winter. To make matters even worse, I just remembered that the white walker crib is in permafrost, and had lots of aurora borealis, meaning that that could easily be the actual north pole of Planetos. That would place Westeros and Essos even further north, and mean that there is even more unexplored space south of Dorne. Fuck man, GRRM needs to get his geography together.

The battle at the Fist of the First Men was in season 2, so they cut big battles, just like the Battle at the Green Fork in Season 1. Hardhome was Season 5, the budget is probably way bigger than in Season 1 or 2

I've always wondered how the White Walkers attacked Yi-Ti, how did they even get there in the first place? It's been confirmed that the Children of the Forest created them during the first invasion of men to Westeros. So the world it's either connected somehow in the north or there are other children of the Forest in Essos, or maybe just maybe, the show explained the origin of the white walkers differently. I'd prefer an unknown-demonic origin that doesn't involve humanoid plants stabbing men with dragonglass to create such monsters. Same dragonglass that kill them by stabbing them, wtf?

In the books the Night King is not the leader of the White Walkers as far as we know, he was a leader of the nights watch who started his own kingdom and was killed. Legends say he may have been a White Walker but we don't know for sure. Same with his wife.

+Ashutosh Akella In Westeros the hero was simply known as "The Last Hero", in the far east they had a similar story about a great hero, and then the Red God followers gave him the name Azor Ahai. So it's basically the same character, a last hero who rises, unifies mankind and drives back the Others. But his name is different in other places.

ok...so I I hope somebody who is a Game of Thrones geek like me can explain this to me... *The children of the forest bar the original natives of Westeros and never lived in essos... And as the last HBO episode explained to us ( and other Game of Thrones fanatics hypothesized in previous videos) the white walkers were creation of the children of the forest to combat the race of men in the war in the age of Heroes... so all that being said, how is it that the continent of essos had Legends of similar creatures as the white walkers? Shouldn't that be specific to Westeros only? I love to hear somebody's response!

We don't know for sure yet, but it's possible East essos is connected to Westeros through the frozen north (lands of always winter). So the Others may have been able to march east during the war.

Brian Mcbrian Well if they were defeated in battle, like the legends claim, they would have lost many of their people. Maybe it was them who needed the time to replenish their numbers. Or maybe they signed a peace treaty that we don't know about, and now feel that humans have broken it for some reason (like maybe wildlings living past the wall, meaning the wall was a territorial border)

But the children created the night king because they were in a very bad situation in he war.... creating a weapon who needs hundreds of years to reproduce doesnt seem very effective. Maybe its the tv show who didnt handle it well. Or Maybe the children turned on their creation, weaken it but not able to destroy it. The wall seem mor like a protection from them than a border, isnt coldhand saying that some magic prevent him from going south of the wall in the books?
