Jeeze David, judging by the oxidation that poor motor looks like it has spent some time in a wet humid environment. Can't wait to see if it can be resurrected. What brand and size is your ultrasonic cleaner?

Hi David. I am looking for my first four-stroke engine. Are ASP motors good? I've heard that bearings often fail and it's difficult to fine-tune, is it true? So far, I've only used two-stroke OS motors that are great. I'm interested in ASP FS91 or ASP FS80. Greetings from Poland Kamil Tomaszewski

I have had good luck with all of the ASP engines I have owned. Yes they are of lesser quality than Saito, OS, and Enya engines, but for the money they are ok. If you maintain them well it should last for a time.

And you didn't go anywhere near the valves which was the whole point for me watching this video. Namely the springs are not held into place with circlips as in OS four strokes. I have four halves and cannot work out how to put them back and/or if they are broken!!! (I got a replacement cyl head for the motor as the exhaust thread was stripped!)
