I dont get it Connor was a serious and straight forward individual who displayed great discipline and conviction. He had a hard life and did what he thought was right for the good of his people and the ideal of freedom. Moreover, he was already a trained fighter before joining the creed so he knew the concept of discipline from a very young age. His culture also demands it of him so he grew up to be strong and focused not easily clouded by emotion. Is it because you didn't see him cry or get drunk over a heated argument that made him so "bland"? One has to really be into story telling in order to read the emotion of the character and to feel their inner plight and understand their perspective. Im not saying you have to agree with it but im also saying you shouldn't be so quick to write Connor off as one dimensional. I felt his grief when he killed his father and lost Achilles. I saw his happiness and kindness through the homestead missions as he helped the community grow into something great. I felt his pain when he lost his people and his best friend. We saw his passion as he fought to end Charles Lee and consequently the colonial Templar's. However, what stood out to me the most was his perseverance and tenacity as well his indomitable warrior spirit, which were the very things that set him apart from many of the other assassins.

I second this, he's so underrated..i loved Connor he was epic, I think all of them are great characters and while I do love that Ezio, mess around with girls kinda character, I love that cold, revenge driven character..another example is Kratos, he's just had WAY more games to develop his character.

I freak'n loved AC3, Connor had a great personality while still being a quieter character, and the story was great , the only thing I didn't like was that the combat was so easy. A good way to bring him back is to have the abstergo employee start to get suspicious about the company and start looking at other assassin's lives like connor

In my opinion altair is the best “ Assassin" because he gets the job done with the least amount of equipment. You would not see altair coming. Conner would destroy everything in a woodland environment. Ezio would crush you with his assassin armies. Edward would blow you up with his jackdaw cannons.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!! do not read this if you have'nt completed the AC games yet! Altair Ibn La Ahad: Was fighting for honor and was the most whise of all the assassin's. Ezio Auditore Da Firenze:(my personal favorite) The laides favorite, such a charmer but could still save the day, over and over again. He lost many friends but still he keeps fighting for justice and never gives up. Ratonhnhaké:ton/Connor Kenway: probably had the most tragic story i've ever seen in videogame-history, everybody that he knew died. He had a taste of revenge, but he had to focus on freedom 4 his village, and soon the Boston and other cities. And when he had no one left to fight for, he won but still failed. (watch ending if u dont know why) Edward Kenway: A man that got married, got left behing by his wife cause she was afraid what would happen to him. He wanted to be a captain of a ship so he could support him and his wife (living a life without getting a disease. All he wanted was money and piece by piece he lost his friends and fellow pirates, but still never gave up. (Turns out in the end that Edward has been a father) if you want to know the rest of the ending then you have to complete the game yourself or watch it on KZbin!!!

There's no way Edward could beat Altair, Ezio, or Connor in a fight. *1*. Even if he ends up fighting dirty, he still won't be able to beat them. Their skills are far superior. *2*. (This point involves a *SPOILER* from AC:Forsaken) Edward was killed in a house raid according to AC: Forsaken. Seriously. All of his skills and he was merely killed in a house raid (the people that killed him were mercenaries too, lol). He was 42 when this happened. Another surprising thing is that there were only two intruders. Two mercenaries vs. Edward who is an Assassin, pirate, very well trained, and fights dirty. The mercenaries won, actually impaling Edward. *3*. This point compares Ezio to Edward. In AC: Embers, there was a house raid as well. There were far more than just two intruders and one of them was very heavily armed who was killed by Ezio's hand. Ezio was in his mid-60's during the attack as well and he was able to survive. Of course, he had the help of Shao Jun, but when you consider how much older he was (you can see him suffering from back pain) and the number of raiders, you'll see that the situation was far more dire. *4*. If that isn't enough to prove that Edward couldn't beat them, then this should convince you. Altair and Ezio have Apple's of Eden (so that's pretty much an instant win :P) and Connor has a shard of Eden (making him immune to gun fire). Connor is obviously the heaviest and best CQC fighter out of all four, so considering that guns can't do anything to him + that, Edward won't win.

Lance Yemeli Hmm let me think on Altair's past. His parents died when he was seven so he was adopted by Al Mualim. He was trained from birth to witness and inflict death. His only father-figure betrays him and leaves him with an artifact that can topple empires. His first love, Adha, dies on a boat. His youngest son is executed, while he is accidentally forced to kill his wife by his own hand. On top of all this tragedy, he rewrites the creed and reforges the order into what it is in modern time. Altair began skilled, but arrogant and through humilation became the wisest most important Assassin in the Creed's history. THAT is a badass assassin.

Sam Lyall The reason why I have Connor listed as number one (combat) is due to his feats throughout the storyline of AC3, and Haytham's thoughts on Connor in the book. To be honest, it's almost unrealistic how deadly Connor is in raw combat. The reason why I have Haytham listed at number 2 is because in the story, Haytham managed to hold his own against Connor despite his age for a considerable amount of time. If you read the book, you'll see that Edward was decently skilled at fighting long before he became an 'assassin', and I don't even need to bring up his uncanny ability to take down entire crews/fortresses of trained military men - coupled with his unparalleled skill as a naval captain. If we're talking about assassin-skill, then Ezio would be rated number one. To be honest, I don't know why anyone would say otherwise. By the end of Revelations, he is far pass the skill of Altair, who is 2nd best. Overall, Connor has no choice but to be the best. While his story arc is far shorter than Ezios, I consider him to be better because within the time frame of AC3, Connor single handedly managed to destabilize the whole setup that Haytham had been working towards, on top of assassinating his entire crew. This, coupled with Connor's ridiculous skill at fighting (Not only was he trained by the master-assassin Achilles, but he was also trained as a hunter at a very early age, and quite possibly could perform freerunning feats even earlier than Ezio), propel Connor to the top of the list.

Jaxir Raywhisper Assassin's Creed is a game based on the fight of the assassins with the templars in different historic times. Connor is a native american who fights with the templars of the revolution, and he have a great history and a interesting personality, is mi favorite assassin. And Edward is an Assassin who wants fortune and became a pirate, and in the end of the game he became a real assassin. What's your problem? The Game has to innovate, not only Ezio and Altäir fighting in the medieval age for 3 fuckin' games, great assassins and powerful templars had in later times. Rome, Venice and Jerusalem were not the only places with assassins and templars; which had also moved to America isn't a bad Idea.

I want an AC game where we can play as a Templar, maybe in Altair's time, or maybe the story progress through different time periods with different Templar player characters all working towards something, and then at the end the final Templar character concludes what they were working towards and succeeds (or maybe fail just because the whole series revolves around Assassins winning, Which I hate.). Think about it, they could make it a more gruesome and dark game, where you could end up having choices such as interrogating/beating people or persuading (Which would have some kind of chance (%) sytem, possibly depending on your notoriety or something) them or bribing them (Which would work or not working depending on how much money you have). It doesn't have to be darker and more gruesome, I just think it may suit more for a Templar game. I prefer Templars from Assassins, that's why I'd like a game where I can play as a Templar all the way through (If this ever happened, I don't want the ending to be some crap such as "Realizing the truth" and that "The assassins are correct" and some "I now see the light" Crap...). If you want to reply with your views on this idea go ahead. :)

They still have plenty of years, don't forget that history happend all around the world, not only the most iconic places :3

1850-1970 are some bloody years with a lot of conflicts they could use. They have the civil war, the Spanish American war, world war 1, world war 2, the cold war, etc etc. That's only the major conflicts involving America. Really they have anything from the inception of the assassin order which I think is around 700 A.D. (or C.E. if you prefer) to 1191and then up to 1460-1530ish we have ezio so no chance in there really then but from 1530-1740ish (I'm guessing here because I've yet to play black flag and I want to avoid spoilers even when the game takes place), so from 1740ish to 1780ish we have the kenway family story, and then you have all the side stories such as the one Russian assassin who's name escapes me. they have almost a thousand years to work with along with an entire world nearly constantly in some kind of conflict. They've got plenty to work with.

***** well the thing about ww1, ww2 and cold war is that swordfighting is replaced with gun fights, so i dont think they will do these because that might change the gameplay way to much. But you are right. They can make a game with samurai's and ninja's and even go way back to the ancient egypt.
