One feature I absolutely loved about Odyssey was that you could set the game to give you clues about where the next objective was located, and you actually had to explore to find it.

Meh the idea was cool but even though it gave a general idea where to go a massive prompt which covered almost all of the lower half of the screen popped up that you are near the objective and use the bird to actually find it. And it was like for example eastern part of region -> go east -> promp -> use bird -> locate the only place out there or ignore the massive prompt to look for it yourself. It like only added 2-3 mins of "exploration" to it rather then giving you the exact location.

For me it's Odyssey. I like the mixture of humour and seriousness and the actual gameplay. Origins is a close second but, I would like to have seen Aya's character developed more than just a few scenes and Bayek could have been a bit less one dimensional. Valhalla I felt was to padded out by pointless side quests and some very Monty Python like characters. The main character Eivor as a male sounded more like my old maths teacher instead of some Viking warrior and having played it twice have no desire to put myself through it again! The other two I continue to play and still enjoy both.

The one thing that I like in Odyssey is the a lot of the side quests (mostly the yellow exclamation point quests, not really message board ones) connect with each other and also connect to the main story. Some side quests also go on a quite long quest chain that actually develops some interesting characters.

Actually, Valhalla grows to me little by little. I' ve played for about 30 hours but am able to play for 2-3 hours per day ,at most. Each region has a questline with interesting characters, quests (mysteries) are unique and interesting and hunting for chests are riddles on each own. I can understand how it can end a chore if you play non stop. But the way I (can) do it , in small incerements, is really fun to me. The world is breathtaking, strong RPG foundation and plenty of activities. Origins was amazing for its towns but the rest was empty desert. Odyssey is my favourite because of naval and conquest battles which are the best in gaming history integrated into a game. Really weird people overlook those. Makes you wonder if they really played Odyssey...

I love valhalla and how you can do the side missions and secondary activities in a fast way, makes the game more dynamic and less tedious, that’s a huge win for me. I loved odyssey but maaan it had too many side quests and lots of them where boring

I prefer Origins, not just because of the setting in Egypt, also because it has the most true Assassins from Assassins Creed left. Odyssey and Vallhalla felt like heavily armed overkilled soldiers, while Bayek had a much more agile feeling. Also the story gets to the foundation of the Assassins Brotherhood, especially in the end and in the DLC "The hidden ones". Odyssey and Vallhalla hat nearly 0 to do with the Assassins brotherhood

One of the whole DLC's in Odyssey is about the first Assassin who goes on to start the Brotherhood. Odyssey wasn't much about assassins because it was before the assassins even existed, which is why the introduced the whole thing in the first DLC. Darius uses a hidden blade and after your significant other is killed by the Order, Darius takes your child to egypt to raise him and start the brotherhood, then starts the line of the Assassins. Aya from Origins is Kassandras (from Odyssey) relative. The main story of Odyssey is more about the whole Assassins Creed lore than it has to do with the Assassins, as the whole point of the game is to hunt the cultists which is the group that forms the templars.

to be fair, in Valhalla your were an Isu (or a reborn one, Odin I believe) so it makes sense why the assassin aspect wasn't front and center for that one, but as another user here said, its best to view Odyssey and Valhalla as stories in the AC universe not so much AC games directly related to the Protagonist(s)

Yeah the fighting randoms bit was awesome 👌 and the Mercenaries system was amazing 👏 way better than the Zealots 😊 Valhalla is my favourite but there's alot of things in odyssey they should've kept in it. But it's a different team that made it. And they didn't want everyone thinking Vikingrs were savages that killed anyone especially innocent people like women and children. Where as odyssey allowed us to make our own choices more. And the Mercenaries system which was inspired by rogue was just absolutely genius. Plus cowards and weakling pricks could always pay them off if they didn't want to fight them. But those kind of bitches are never happy. And want everyone to play it how they want to.. and have no common courtesy, and don't want anyone to enjoy things, just cos they don't know how to enjoy anything.. which is why they troll and argue.. cos their home life is awful, and they want everyone else to be as miserable as them.

I just started a new save on Odyssey. Trying to go for 100% completion. I’m in the Phokis region and Im already level 25 from doing all the side stuff scaled to my level plus bounties. Also experimenting with different actions and builds more. Im enjoying more now that Im not just trying to burn through the story.

I loved Odyssey and enjoyed Origins, but most of the time spent in Origins was grinding levels to progress the story, so to me the story felt a little short. I basically just quit Valhalla because it took way too long to complete, and I also previously lost a 100 hour save, so it was just so boring the second time when I tried to finish the story. Odyssey is probably my favorite since I love all that Greek stuff, but also because of the combat and story. I actually enjoyed Odyssey’s story a lot more than some of the other AC games. And the combat was just really fun. I feel like people are just hating Odyssey for no particular reason.

Bro, You are insane !! How come can you enjoy the quests which repeat themselves over and over again. It is a huge map. I have completed the cultists and main story but I could not complete entire map. I did not even finish the vacation story. It made me sick. Just because of the odyssey, I have doubts to start Valhalla so I went back to real assasin games Unity and Syndicate which I haven't played before.

@@bakrellidag5294 I have always loved games with a huge map, the longer a game is the more I like it. It is only so many hours because I've played it and finished it maybe 4 or 5 times, but I find with each time my playtime gets a little less because I have done it before. I didn't really like Valhalla that much, it was only that many hours because it's a long game. I can see why you went back because the original games are great too, I couldn't calculate hours back then but I must have hundreds of hours in Revelations, Brotherhood and Black Flag too just from replaying them so many times. I liked Syndicate and Unity but I preferred others much more. My favorites in order would be Odyssey, Origins, Black Flag, Revelations, Brotherhood. I get that Odyssey isn't very assassin-y, but it's because the assassins didn't exist yet, the first dlc is about the first assassin named Darius and he becomes your father-in-law

Currently playing valhalla. I actually like it. Origins has the best story/environment. Especially sone of the DLC. Odyssey had the best combat system/ ship combat among all 3. Yet valhalla feel cool especially if you like northern mythology and played god of war. I just ignore them as AC games. Last real AC game was unity, which I also enjoyed. As sl ats with Ubisoft. Wait for rehearse, never pre order. Wait another year or two for all dlc releases. Wait sone more time until all patched, wait a little longer for great discount. Go get the complete experience. 😅

These 3 games have something special, the Atmosphere is awesome and the technical aspect in both 3 is stunning, the music is great, everything in the world fits the tone, nothing feels out of place. Valhalla is the best on the graphic/art side and has the best side missions, odyssey is the most fun and engaging since you just don't stop doing things and the stealth is on point, and Origins has the best character/story and inmersive details that make just wandering around entertaining.

It clicked for me right know as im playin it currently. I'm lvl 50+ and now i find some cool legs and leg sets to make some cool builds. Now i want to complete the story finally and do the DLCs as im having a blast playin with my new builds im experimenting with! My gf liked origins more, shes more the oldschool ac type of person, and has not enjoyed the more RPG part of odyseey so much, as i do! (She still finished it doh, but Ezio is her fav)

I have to say That Origins is My favorite AC of all and of those 3 its just really the best especially on the RPG side its not so strong in origins compared to Odyssey and Valhalla in Origins only weapons and the Shield Had Stats etc , Armor was Purely Cosmetic and you could upgrade 6 Different "Items" for RPG Really minimalistic even though its not even a Real " Role play Game" Odyssey and Valhalla was just to much for me with runes and engravings and skil set Bar like spartan kick etc which also had Tiers to skill and your set Bonus stuff sorry for the rant ^^

For an RPG assassins creed, AC origins was preety good..The egypt looks so good..But it would be great if we get the OG Egyptian soldiers instead of those we have and some DLC's where mummies and mythical facts of egypts were shown

Hi, I just beat Origins and loved everything about it, but I'm trying to figure out why exactly people didnt like Odessey or Valhalla. From the multitude of videos Ive watched, they seem very similiar in gameplay. Can someone illucidate on this for me? Thanks!

Odyssey is big and huge but sadly most of it has repetitive enemy base pattern. I finished Odyssey and feels more like a chore and not an adventure. They copy and paste a lot of the same thing in the game just to fill up the big map. Worst part was atlantis, I was anticipating for it but unfortunately the map design is so bad. Origins is the best; the map is just the right size.

I always hate these “which one is the BeSt” videos that pop up everywhere. The only answer is all of them are the best. Seriously. All these games are gold and are all very underrated. Especially Odyssey and Valhalla. They all have incredible characters (you’re using the wrong Valhalla one again. Eivor’s a woman) and brilliant storylines. Excellent worlds and gameplay.

Valhalla has a few bad things to nitpick with, but Odyssey is definitely better and Origins to me is the GOAT of the franchise after the Ezio Trilogy.

After a long time I want to get lost in an Assassin creed game again. In the meantime, the latest parts have received next gen patches. Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla are still breathtakingly beautiful. But which of the 3 parts Origins (in ancient Egypt), Odyssey (ancient Greece) or Valhalla (Viking Theme) should i spend my rare time with? I played them all back then. Is the most new automatically the best? In My eyes all 3 games are very different and the most new is not the best by default here. I have a different opinion. Origins is the only game out of the 3 games that still feels like a classic Assassin game. Sneaking, assassinations, the close camera All the time, Animations are not too cartoony or arcade. It is still a serious game. No god like Power attacks etc etc. Storywise the best by far, no wonder, it tells the origin story of all assassins. There are still real cities, not just small settlements or dozens of Green isles. Yes, with origins u still get some Assassin CREED vibes and it is as beautiful and modern as the other ones. While Viking has nice finishers, combat seems arcade, less realistic. Raiding villages, burning down is great for roleplaying vikings, but this is not assassin creed anymore.. The world is beautiful, but extremely lifeless and boring. More of the same, all the time. Viking feeling yes, but ASSASSIN creed feeling doesn't come up here and doing always the same thing (raiding villages) gets boring quickly. Odyssey also has little real Assassin story or feel, lost in beautiful ancient Greece. Beautiful islands, lots of Islands... and a lot of forts to conquer. For my part, I think the atmosphere and gameplay in Origins is still the best and closest to the assassin storyline of former games. You can see the insane work on the country and the people in origins . The games released after origins, located in different time settings, moved further and further away from the AC spirit. These games are no assassin games anymore in my eyes but Nice Action rpgs nevertheless.

Why are you complaining about 'god power'? You do realize that the lore in AC universe actually revolved around the advanced race called ISU? They only have 'god power' because they're either the descendant of the ISU or simply a 'reincarnation' of them. Bayek felt 'normal', because he's just a normal human. Aya, his wife, was the one with 'god power' because she's the descendant of Kassandra, hence the bad guy wanted to use their son for stuff related to the ISU device.

Odyssey wins world design 1000% no doubt about it. Everything was always nice to just look at. I love Valhalla, but map design just isn’t it for me. Maybe it’s just that time period. I don’t know. But Odyssey will always be my fav. Played through it three times 😄

Personally, Odyssey is better in lore and graphics. I know Odyssey is more about the formation of the warrior than about the assassin's, but it's the best introduction the Assassin's Ceed could get, so it's really good. 🤷‍♀️

Origins is my favorite! Just played Origins this afternoon.Bayek of Siwa is also one of my favorite characters of all time! I’m currently on a fresh play through of Odyssey. Great game. I didn’t like the character of Eivor. Sorry, he wasn’t likeable to me.

For me the Origins is the best, I used to play Origin and every aspect is perfect for me, the mechanic gameplay, the parkour is smooth, the graphics are amazing, know I'm playing Valhalla feels like trash, the battle mechanic are bad even the parkour, the graphic way better Origin than Valhalla, lot of bug and weird movements if we spam the buttons for using combo.
