Might be my fav Assassins Creed. My dad died right before this came out and my sis and I had to do all the funeral stuff together. We also started hanging out more than ever before so much so that she watched me play this. Evie and Jacob going thru the same with their parent passing, spoke to us on a level like nothing before. We became best friends and it might be why i love this game so much. Also the grappleshot is 🔥

Love that you embrace each AC for what it is and have enjoyed them all, a lot of people hear the mainline opinion of which ones are best and which 'aren't good' and go along with it but when I talk to people irl everyone has different favourites. For example the only AC I can't enjoy enough to finish was Unity but I love that you loved it, on the other hand lots of people complain about the rpg direction but my favourite is potentially Origins or Black flag. Long story short I'm really glad other peoples opinions aren't giving you biases that stop you having fun

Assassin's Creed has always been like time travel to me, every new game makes me jitter with a giddy feeling to immerse myself in the setting and I re-live it all over again with your playthroughs, looking forward to this, have fun!

YES. You are finally up to some of my most favorite characters in AC so far. Frye twins are right under Desmond, who is my fave. I love them. Jacob just a smidge more then Evie.

Possibly my favourite AC game. About the harsh criticism the game received. From what I remember people were tired of the annual release and the copy and paste gameplay formula. Plus the Unity fiasco was still an open wound.

The industrial revolution brings about alot of good things like better housing/standard of living, increased education and women entering the workforce for the first time. Also around 40% of the world's inventions and discoveries were made in the uk.

I still remember my first time playing Sydicate - I was so excited to finally play a female assassin! ... and then Jacob came along... Sorry, Evie, I like you a lot but I loooove your idiot brother. I played through this game several times now and I have yet to get tired wreaking havoc with Jacob in London! To this day it is still my favourite AC game: The setting, the clothes, the music, the fighting system, the humour - I just can't enough of it. ❤ I hope you enjoy your first playthrough at least half as much as I did. 😊

Crawford Starrick is one of my fav antagonists in this series. Syndicate might not be the best storywise but it still is a very fun game. Hope you enjoy.

Think a lot of complaints from this just came from burnout on the series they were pumping them out every year and I think the fan base just got a bit bored with the gameplay. After this one they went on a break for a bit before releasing AC: Origins

I love watching Meg. Instead of „I can Fix her“ she goes „I can Cosplay her“ And getting to play as Evie actually was just kinda a Last Minute decision because some Idiots at Ubisoft really think that a Female Protagonist doesn’t sell well, wich is why Jacob was the Centre of most Ads.

Steam punk is not apocalypse per se, it takes inspiration from the victorian era and bring that to a futuristic environment, it plays with the idea of progress and europe's dominance i think where people believed to be so advanced in time that nothing could go wrong, see some drawings from the time people actually believed that in a hundred years we would be flying in cars

I feel like people don’t like this game since it was very grindy with the levels and taking down districts and the parkour was almost nonexistent and it also came after Unity and since it had a very rocky launch people didn’t want to put their faith in Ubisoft again. And if you ask me Evie is the one good thing in this game since she actually acts like a Assassin and takes it seriously.

People dont like this as much because its where people started to give up the series. Unity launched as a buggy mess and syndicate came up with some dubious decisions about traversal and combat. Not to mention the whole xp and level thing that started becoming annoying in this game. Assassins creed fans have become really devided with the years with all the technical and lore decisions ubisoft been making. Its not a bad game at all and i can reasure you its not sexism, Shao jun and Evie are among the most loved AC characters and sure are top tier waifus.
