@@michi-fv2mf The problem with having that many people working for you is that investors tend to start rushing the game's release. This is exactly what happened to Cyberpunk 2077....CDPR went from small dev to big dev way too fast. RDRII is special because it was clearly fine-combed over and over again.

Maybe there was more historical features towards the north of Norway.
@VikingNerd20243 жыл бұрын
Not at all, actually. They had a limited opp to showcase Norway and how it is uniquely harsh. Lofoten/Northern Norway showcases that. At the same time, historical figures like Harald Finehair did their thing in southern Norway. So what do you do? Combine the two. This is science fiction, after all. Not 100% historical accuracy.

I'm sure they cut out Ashraf's interview since he was the creative director. But I'm glad they did that. What a shame, Ashraf was THE man in the AC franchise and I just hope someone even better steps up for the betterment of future AC games. There is no doubt Ash is someone who treated the AC franchise to the best of treatments but sadly..anyways I'm enjoying AC Valhalla, thanks Ubisoft Montreal

Yeah it really is a shame. I looked up to him a lot because he appeared to be a genuine nice guy and a insightful developer, but in the end looks can be deceiving.
@DarkBloodAssa4 жыл бұрын
At least there is still Jean Guesdon left. He was around since the early days of the franchise, and the creative director on Black Flag and Origins (Ash was not, unlike on Valhalla). I hope the reason he was not involved in Valhalla's development is because he is working on a future game. Maybe some sort of split happened after Origins to start working on both Valhalla and a next gen title, because the only other AC team (Quebec) was already busy with Odyssey. One can only dream.
@ZahhibbDev4 жыл бұрын
@@DarkBloodAssa Hmm, I'm pretty sure Ash also was the Creative Director on Black Flag and Game Director on Origins. Maybe they have several directors on each game? Edit: Weird, his IMDB on Black Flag says Creative Director, but in all marketing and stuff he says Game Director.

Say what you want about Ubisoft (me? appalling bugs still plaguing the game after 2 years), but their world design is incredibly immersive and I unconsciously just miss the environment of the game when I'm eager to open it. Same goes with Odyssey, Unity, you name it.
