This was 3 years ago. It’s crazy. I used to watch you all the time. I was obsessed with assassins creed. Super nostalgic coming back to the channel. Btw I was one of the winners of the giveaway in the video “AzA F34R”. Quite the name huh? But I’m so glad I found ur channel again. Takes me back :)

I really liked Tomb of the Khan. My personal highlight was Zhi's story, in particular the chapter where she assassinated Monke Khan. I just thought it was a really good Assassin's Creed-y character arc done in a few chapters, although it lacked a bit of closure. I think it suffered from not having one main historical story running through it, like the first. It ended up getting a bit overstuffed with non-esential stuff. I did really like Shaun's story, however. Over the last few books and games (Looking at Rogue and Heresy in particular) Ubi have been trying to paint the Templars as "not quite as evil as we thought." I think them using Shaun and the Animus to make prothetics for disabled people is the single most compelling argument for that yet. I think seeing Rebecca just fine and dandy eliminates any emotional weight from Syndicate's ending, and it's really surprising that they revealed her fate in a YA spin-off novel instead of a main game. It's nice to know she's okay though, and I did breath a sigh of relief. I really liked seeing a bit more of how the modern day Assassin's operate. Overall, it was pretty good, and I don't know how I'll be able to wait until September for the conclusion.

I agree with the point about the reveal about Rebecca, I came here to mention that as well. I'd rather have that in a game, not in a book. I enjoy the books, but you shouldn't have to plough through insane amounts of transmedia just to be able to keep up with the story of a game series.

I do think Tomb of the Khan was an improvement over the first. Now that the setup is done, it's just pure character building. I do agree with you on the filler aspect, however, the stories were interesting on their own, though frustrating when they are cut off. The appendices aspect I think would have worked well, though I'm sure the idea was to highlight small pockets of history, and it shows that unpredictability of the Animus, and the search being a time-consuming, frustrating effort where it is very much pick a likely time and hope for the best. That being said, more time with Zhi would have been a benefit to the greater story, and I feel Owen has been pushed back a little. I definitely am excited for the next book and the focus on Vikings, and if that puts a major focus on that period, it will make for a very interesting read. One aspect of these new books, is this development of Victoria's character, and I hope she continues to be a bigger player in the next book and beyond.

Its been 3 years. Have you read the book? How is it? Its sad because i cant get it on my language anywhere lol. Even on english they dont sell it. And i dont really like digital books lol

@@kristiyangrigorov5232 I have read all three books now. From what I remember I did enjoy the final book. Good stuff with Minerva. I mean I'll take anything with Isu at this point. The Fate of Atlantis DLC for Odyssey, specifically the Atlantis episode was a treat. I laughed reading over my old comment because I was so optimistic about Victoria. She shows up in Odyssey and they just made her an exposition character mostly. Then something happens in the modern day section which annoyed/devastated me. At least I enjoyed her in these books. I think keep looking but digital might be the way to go if all else fails. I prefer physical but if finishing the story is important and it doesn't look like you can read it any other way, choose whatever option you can.

This book was really good and my personal highlights would be Owens desendant and the modern day Chinese assassin. I did think that the end where Isaiah yells "I'm not a templar" or whatever was really forced in terms of dialogue. I think they could’ve made him dissappear and have all the characters speculating what happened to him. then in the next book it would be revealed in a better way

So I only finished the book today and I think most of my points have been covered in other comments already, but I'll do a brief run-down. Overall I liked the book. Although it's nice to know Rebecca is ok, I'm not a fan of this revelation being casually mentioned in a book. She is (or has been, anyway) a major character in the games and her story should be told in the games, especially since ACS ended on a cliff-hanger. I thought the beginning of the book was a bit slow as well, and the end almost felt a bit rushed. I really liked aerie break-in section. It's nice that all of the characters get a bit of development, but I think I retain my position from when we read the last book - six protagonists are a bit too much for me. With that being said though, I don't really know who to cut out either. Maybe David and/or Natalya, despite them being critical to the events at the end of the book. And finally, I'm not sure it's because of it being pointed out in livestreams often but I found it funny characters in the book used "got it" and "what would you have me do". Read those in their respective assassin voices haha.

Firstly before i read the book i had to brief myself with the characters because it had been that long. This book started off quite slow for my liking and then towards the end things began to happen and make sense. I didn't like the way that there were so many other animus sessions on another ancestor, as it got me quite confused. I just wanted to quickly find out about the piece of Eden. I didn't like how the characters began to identify with a particular side. I liked it when they were above the conflict and were merely tools in it, but now it seemed like they all had either identified with an side ir stayed in the middle. I also didn't like how Owens quest to find out what happened to his dad was brought so randomly towards the end and still there was no closure on it. I understand it may have been a underlying theme for Owen but then the other area of focus is the piece of Eden so I kind if forgot about Owens dad. Also there were too many characters to remember for my tiny brain. there were many parts I liked too. The non lethal weaponry excited me and the hideouts all gave it a feel of modern day assassin vibes, even though I thought that Javier and Owen suddenly became advanced with just a bit of training, like Javier could just casually break in to a police station.this book was really entertaining o read even though at first I was bored.
