Funny that you mentioned about the note on the back of the mirror in this video. My husband and I remodeled our kitchen when we bought out home four years ago. We too put a little message on the back of a cabinet or two with a date and such. Just a note to the next owners about how much we loved our home and hope they do as well. My hubby proclaimed his love for me again last month by doing the same thing before we replaced our flooring and dishwasher. Gotta luv a romantic man like that! 💖😻

Definitely. I hate putting furniture together! I purchased a 5ft. Doll house for my granddaughter first Christmas. It has 147 pieces! I cost me 150.00 For that price I shouldn't have to put it together. I mean 147 pieces?!

The maze around IKEA is known as the “long and natural path.” Next time you go, notice that there isn’t many long straightaways either. That’s so you’re always looking at product and not concentrating on the path in front of you.

love most of the ikea furniture ...we have this same shoe cabinet, but the shoes are somehow lined up on the floor underneath the cabinet... my life eveyday.... along with the laundry next to the basket ♡

Lol, I watched Kim's video dated today, May 8th, 2021, and she just said the shoe cabinet isn't doing too well and she wants to replace it. And here is youtube recommending the video where she buys it! That's on point, youtube! And 2 years doesn't seem like it lasted long enough. I've had all of my hemnes stuff for at least a decade. I've considered buying that cabinet.

THE WADS actually, it wasn’t that bad lol. It probably took 2 hours to build two sink bases and drawers. I’m a pro by now 😂 The hubby and I have to build a whole kitchen worth of cabinets and drawers soon. THAT should be fun 😳 Thank you!! I can’t wait to post pics on Instagram. It’s almost done, yay!

It looks so beautiful!!! I loved seeing it in the background in the haul vlog. I love that photograph hanging over their desk ... loved the furniture.. And loved thevlog as always.. Would’ve love to see Alex’s reaction on loosing the bet.... i am sure he’ll say it doesn’t fit because of that teeny tiny amount of rack that is kind of sticking out😁 And putting it together was a task for sure!!! YES! I guess I didn't get his reaction on video - fail. but he basically said what you implied! haha Reminds me of another time when we were out to eat and Alex bet that I couldn't eat the entire steak that I ordered, and that if I did he would give me a back massage. I ate every bite (stomach ache followed.) but durring my feast he asked for a 'bite' so I gave him a bite. and when I 'finished' he said 'you didn't eat the whole thing, remember you gave me a bite?" ... dead. I died. I should have known then haha this was when we first started dating many many years ago! -- he hasn't changed. bahah!

Love the desk btw, we recently got my oldest the single drawer desk just like yours, didn’t even think to get the two drawer one and set it up like you did for both of my kids! Darn it!

Aaahh!! I almost just got a corner desk but my second daughter loves to be included while doing school work too! When you do upgrade, sell your single desk online - people are seriously selling desks for as much as they bought them for, or close to it!

THE WADS my 3 year old loves to do her workbooks, she was so upset when we got home and set it up and she realized she didn’t get a desk, we figured we’d get her one in her room when she started Kindergarten but she doesn’t have much empty space for one. I’m kicking myself for not thinking of this and setting them up in the playroom. We are 4 hours away from an ikea too!

It all looks great . The shoe cupboard sort of blends into the living room because it looks like your desk which looks nice .Good choices .Maybe a desk mat for in front of the computers for when they using pens ect it will help to keep clean .I love Ikea me and hubby go there alot .It was cool to see if the store was just the same as they are here in Sweden :)

Oh my gosh, I love the homework station! Good job on the furniture. My husband loves putting IKEA stuff together. He calls it adult Legos! More power to you man! Btw, you look so pretty in this video. :)

Hi. I know when I had my desk in my room growing up. I would keep notebooks, ruler, crayons, markers, colored pencils, calculator, high lighter. Also extra pens, pencils, glue sticks, erasers, scissors like you have in the gray bin. Kinda like what I would have in my school desk at school. Like have each of the girls keep a notebook, folder, an pencil, eraser in the drawer on their each side. Than they have their own stuff. Never been to Ikea, not even sure where the nearest one is to me. The shoe shoulder looks nice. I'm the same way with things. If I like it an need to move it to rearrange, decorate I will make room. TTYL. :)

Ikea furniture rocks! I have such a shelf where you can put these bins inside (same series you have the bench from) that somebody wanted to throw away. My sister picked it up and gave it to us and we have it since multiple years. But we also had problems before. I think thats normal. We bought a foot stool that consisted of 3 pieces. 2 side things and one thin in between and one of the side things was missing. The girls desk look great. I only whould worry if they work together nicely on it? My girls won't. Love, Salo

Looks great!! I have the trones or drone ones for shoes I don’t remember what they are called but a set of 3. I wanted the one you got cause it’s nicer but wouldn’t fit in my area. Makes such a. Big difference! Hate the shoes on the floor. Love the desk. Maybe get something to put over it to protect it.

Ikea - definitely a love hate relationship. Love the stuff - hate putting it together. Luckily for now we don't have one close enought (1 hr away) to go very often. Our kitchen table is 10 plus years old. Still in okay shape. We also still have bedroom furniture for one kid from there.

If only you lived in GA, we just took 6-7 of our white closet doors off our closets that I would just give you. But I would check the habitat for Humanity stores like you mentioned b4 (if only they would tell you that they have them in stock)

Check Ikea again...yes I know lol...but they have this kitchen thing that I've seen used for supplies. It's a rod with hooks and then you can hook these little pails on to it and put the pencils and such in there. I'll be doing that when I redo our area. Mostly to make sure at least ONE pencil didn't go walking away by itself lol They always do haha

I have an idea.....your closet doors are what looks like sturdy wood doors. Could you paint them white??? The louvers are a good thing here in Florida for ventilation and new doors are sometimes flimsy. Making them white would possibly be a good solution. Love the new desk and shoe storage, very much!!

You might need a plastic chair mat for under the girls chairs so they don't mess up too much the carpet with the things that fall ( like crayons and colour pencils) and get smashed by the wheels and it also prevents the wheel marks on the carpet.

paula de chiclana that’s a great idea! We had a plastic chair mat in our old office and whenever I would lift it to vacuum there would always be moisture and it would smell so I nixed it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ not sure why we always have the ac on

I had the same closet doors and until i remodel and replace them i just painted them white! Time consuming but worth it to change the look. I love the new ikea stuff, i can walk around there forever but putting it together is terrible. ☺😆
