Ferrea 6000 series valves are great! Snapped a timing chain a few months back & just like you said all it did was bend 8 valves! No damage to the pistons, the bottom end was saved 💪🏽 best of luck with the build!

Ahhhh... This is gonna be so good. I've been waiting for for the ol'Rowdyssey to make its triumphant return. There was some cool features on that thing like the cruise buttons used for the cut outs and the sweet billet shifter fastened with two whole fasteners. Lol I hope he takes the time to pretty her up a bit this time around. I know thats not really Kyles thing but a coat of paint and some dent repair over at motion auto would really go a long way.

@Ada 1812 Umm... I don't think there's any possible way you're putting double the money into a k. If he swapped it and threw a turbski on it like he's doing here he could have a thousand horsepower no problem with the same amount it'd cost to get your LS to a thousand... No way he's going to say that a K series could make more power than an LS could but as far as moderate builds go he could keep up with the LS for a little while for not much more (if the swap is easy enough anyway, otherwise maybe it could be quite a bit more haha) and then he'd have a fuckin K series in a corvette which is way way cooler.

A little tip next time you want to get a head milled take the fully assembled bottom end to the machine shop with the head so they can mill the head and block to match so they can get the piston to valve clearance as tight as possible to up the compression

I actually talked with a rep from Ferrea and they recommended to just run the 6000 series in a drag car, They hand the short bits of extreme heat better (IE Drag racing) where the Competition Plus was more geared towards like a road race application. In 2 events last year with the competition plus valves I had 4 warp from the heat of the 2 step

K series parts actually used to be clubrsx. I've got one of his old shift knobs. He made 1000 black ones and 1000 brass ones. I've got a black one number 126. Cool guy done business with many times years ago.

10:34 At this point, I like to check that all the valves are sealing (never know 🤷‍♂️). Add a little gasoline, or acetone, or alcohol, etc. to the runners and see if she holds. Also, it helps clean out any missed lapping compound.
