they still need to do a 2jz aswell, they've done Rb26, K24, B16,SR20, EJ's now they need the real holy grail of jdm motors. a freakin 2JZ-GTE

@@LegerAndCoThe holy grail in my opinion, is the C32B.
@LegerAndCo Жыл бұрын
@irgv-tec2560 yet people are K swapping NSX's. C series is a cool motor, but nowhere's near the league a 2JZ when it comes to modding it. There's 2500hp 2jz out there churning 6secs in 1/4. An NSX or c32 or even c30 isn't doing either those things. Grannas racing on the other hand..... Love my Hondas but again C series was outclassed by a lot of straight 6s
@igvtec Жыл бұрын
@@LegerAndCo C-series back in the day, was a hell of a lot more expensive. And more rare. Compared to the 2jz being more numerous compared to C-series. Which is why I believe, it hasn't had a chance to have as much development from the aftermarket sector. compared to the rest of the engines out there. Guarantee the c series it would hold more power than a k series with the standard block. There are more k series out there less expensive and more aftermarket support that's why people go k series. As for what the c-series could achieve, really is unknown as there is not enough examples out there that could define what it could do.

What an absolutely terrific sound coming out of that set up!! Wow!! For an engine/drivetrain putting down under 200 wheel horsepower and only 2.4 liters, that engine with that specific exhaust matched up delivers a very sweet low tone resonance that rises all the way up to redline even when those ripping tones enter the mix. Absolutely perfect. The beauty on the ears of carrying that low resonance all through the range of acceleration is that it never begins to turn into a painful shrill of all higher engine notes inside the cabin. That perfect.y blended tone ensemble tells you this thing is breathing perfectly for its tune which delivers that hard and smooth acceleration. It’s no wonder why folks are so addicted to that engine series. So cool. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

One thing to touch on when doing a swap like this is, I had to purchase a 2006 civic Si Brake bias valve, With the gearbox being on now the other side to stock in my Aerodeck, the ABS unit would not clear the downpipes (4 Branch) Thus doing this is also an abs delete so what ever you do please do Not take the bulb out of the dash when it shows up as a fault ;)! Great video guys My has sport mounts were beautiful too.

Drive shafts were also an annoying issue I had, I put the ends from my MB shafts on to the K20 shafts, and because of the position of the engine in the car and the wheelbase of the MB / EK I got binding issues and a bad rumbling noise when going over bumps. I eventually bought some Correct length custom shafts, Not cheap but seriously worth it. Making sure you have the correct Loom for the engine bay is also important as some d16's dont have the wiring for the v-tec solenoid. Luckily my car did, I got my Loom for all of this stock ecu adjustments from a company called Boost works and it was spot on, Probably the hardest part of the build though by far figuring out how to adapt the k20 ecu to to the car. Sorry for the rambling, Just here to try and help best I can! Share the love

@@tinystar3010 Having driven both and currently driving a K24, it depends on the purpose. For a street car, 100% prefer the punchier K24. For a track car though, screaming K20 all the way.
