I was actually looking something up that wasn’t music related in any way, & a Foo Fighters Video popped up in my search. I thought it was strange at the least. After doing a couple of other searches that same video popped up, so I watched it. Anyway it was the video,.. “I’ll Stick Around” - Foo Fighters When I was watching the Video I forgot how weird Dave Grohl looked with no facial hair. I also thought how young he looked. I was also remembering how the whole band had short with exception of Dave. I looked at the drummer & thought “wait, that’s not Taylor Hawkins” & then I was puzzled. When Foo Fighters came out I had already stopped watching MTV due to the reality shows & other garbage they had on all the time. So I mostly listened to Radio, & CD’s. I never realized there was a change of the drummers. So then I looked up who the original drummer was “William Goldsmith”. I decided to read up on him to see why he is no longer apart of one of the most famous bands on the planet. After reading about the treatment he received by Grohl, I understood. I have been in many recording studios due to my profession. Frontman for bands, especially frontmen that can do more than just sing aka musician frontmen can be crazy perfectionist. Anyway ok to reading about William, I read where his career had gone, & about this band “Assertion” . I read about all the praise it has received from music media such as rolling stone magazine. So I looked up their music. I saw this video amongst all their stuff, & I like to hear how a band can play live stuff so I picked this video. I am very much happy that I took the journey to reading up on this band. I will definitely have to pick up their music. Oh also I think William is an awesome drummer.
