This law is a disgrace. Howard Jarvis is rolling in his grave. Deceptive advertising, and most people had no idea what the hell they were voting for, and shame on CAR for pumping this out. I have emailed the sf assessor asking for help to no avail. With Covid we can't even go to city hall in person for help and they've deceptively made the deadline on a 3 day holiday weekend!!!! Now everyone is frantic. I'm ready to keel over from stress and anxiety! Nearly suicidal over this!!!

What a rip-off of Californians. Government employees are stealing our money. Time for reckoning. While California is shut down, government employees found another way to get some extra money. In 2019 Ms. Chu was making over $259,000 in salary and benefits. State is paying her over $45,000 for her pension and health benefits. Time to eliminate CALPERS and make government employees contributing their own money to 401K type system and not requiring taxpayers to contribute 25% of the salary to public employee retirement. My son has disability. I am hoping he has a shelter after I am passed. With this law, I am hopeless because he would not be able to pay the higher property tax even I leave him a house for shelter. he will be forced to pay higher tax to generate money helping other people with disability and leave himself helpless. Salaries / Wages are not increased in the same speed to support property tax based on the housing price increase. The law needs to be reconsidered or remove.

That is why state needs to raise real estate taxes to pay for exorbitant salaries and pensions of government employees. Proposition 19 will increase property taxes in CAlifornia by over $1 Billion at the time, state and local tax deduction has been limited to $10,000. Time to reduce salaries and pensions of government employees.

If it’s time sensitive the least your office can do is, to consider that the documents were filed on time but there were human errors or what have you and accept them nevertheless as filed on time, while being processed and corrected. Why on earth do we have to be perfect and lose because of that? Can you people in downtown just note the papers are being filed and are already in progress? Don’t you see that prop already screwed us and on top of that now the lawyers who file for us are abusing and charging and arm and a leg because they know it is time sensitive? Why everything has to be so perfect before February? I mean, don’t be evil and allow people file and if a check is missing a zero, or a document is missing take into consideration and process them documents until it’s all perfect.

Ms. Chu earned over $2 Million during 7 years she was an assessor. Taxpayers contribution to her pension were over $400 thousand during that time. Time to reduce salaries and pensions of California government employees. @Rey Nardo no one needs confiscatory rates of property taxes.You cant run it all on property taxes. Unfortunatley many people drank the koolaid of the realators and the government tax theives. An offsett sales tax of 1% percent would avoid all the jeopardy situations. Sad some people have un godly envy too. If the 10% sales tax will all its surpluses was actually spent right we all could live better and mabey retire and some leave the work force instead of having to create cash flow into their 70s. Sounds its like your mind was waeponized to think their was no other way to get a new colective bargaining agreement made without going past livable investable cap on property tax and why the home owners of all the types of property was targeted?
