I hadn't played a road racing game in a long, long time, and I got Forza 6: Apex for free. I don't have a wheel, but went and bought an Xbox 360 controller, and did really well with saloon cars on Brands Hatch in the wet. Hit 96 in the world (Thentilian1 is my gamer tag). I couldn't use the clutch. it was too wonky for the controller, otherwise the 10k points off I would of gotten 2% more and would of matched the record. I want to get a steering wheel setup badly now. That just looks so awesome. VR was made for this type of gaming! Love the videos man. You sound like you could be in the broadcast booth commentating on an F1 race. I think with a wheel and sim peddles I could use the clutch and tie that world number one on Brands Hatch in the wet. I dunno how well I would do in these other games. I don't even want to buy them without a steering wheel. A controller just isn't going to work for that. Loved that finish, looks a lot like me, gong well, then just toss it in the last lap! haha good stuff.

The mod looks amazing, but there's one minor detail that once I saw, I couldn't unsee... The driver never shifts gears. He grabs the gear stick, holds it for a second and lets go. Minor thing that I found kind of funny.

The cars were pretty much a fuel tank with a motor strapped to it and the driver hanging on for dear life. Not as bad as in the 50-60s but they still lost 1 in 7 drivers every season.

Your VR stuff is fine Jimmy. I know what you're talking about when you mentioned the "bumpiness" but it was much better this race. To SOME extent it simulates the in car roughness so its not all bad anyway. The only thing I'd say is that sometimes the view shows a little too much of the cockpit and not enough of the track or people around you. I think that's probably because you tuck your chin in and the headset your eyes are moving to the top right or top left of the viewing area to see the corner (which is what would happen in a real car under g-load), instead of moving your whole head and using the centre of your vision to look through the corner. It's a minor thing, but just letting you know. Persist with the VR stuff. Its good and you're getting better at it. It's not necessarily the sort of thing you'd want to do for an entire enduro VEC event (at least not yet), but for shorter, feature videos (maybe some week 13 iRacing stuff *hint* *hint*) its good.

The head movement is a little off-putting when you first start watching VR racing content, but It's just a part of watching from someone else's eyes. They're going to move and look at stuff when you're not trying to. Overall, the content is a little more enjoyable as you as a creator seem to be enjoying yourself more. If people really can't handle the head movement, they might want to try watching real races on tv.

Jimmy, I see your view in VR is slightly tilted down. Do you struggle to keep it level on your head? I have a MASSIVE head, and so if I want the actual rift to be level (ie the screen perpendicular from my eyes), i have to leave a gap between it and my cheeks, making it very uncomfortable. Trying to fix it with a bit of padding at the moment, because while the rift is great, the Vive is much more comfortable for me with my humongous noggin.

You should anticipate a bit more the moment when the turbo give the boost at the end of a a curve to accelerate, I know it's hard because the car can overdrive if you accelerate too early, but anyway you accelerate too late. I also find you are way too aggressive, you don't know how to keep your distance with your opponent to overtake him at the right moment. You attack everytime, even if it's not the best time to overtake him.

Well VR headsets show two different images from two different angles to fit the eyes, and recording only records one eye, so it's a slightly wonky angle every time, even if his head is straight.
