There are a lot of reasons why italians love the 75, first of all, it is the last of a series of very good rear wheel drive Alfa Romeo cars, then there is for example, the perfect weight distribution achieved by a transaxle transmission and the general performance oriented design choices that give the car a very good behaviour. If you try to rise the car you will be able to see the rear discs brakes mounted to the sides of the locking differential (wich came as standard starting from the 2.0 litre twinspark engine) in order to reduce the unsprung weights and; in conjunction with de dion rear suspention setup, let the car sticks better to the road. It's chassis cames from 1972 when Alfa lounched the gloriuos Alfetta, but still, it was able to compete with the more modern bmw e30 between the eighties and the nineties, showing the capabilities of this Alfa romeo old chassis. Offcourse it is not a perfect car, the positioning at the rear of the gearbox made shifting linkages very long, wich caused some imprecision during fast shifts. In Italy we love this car also because it represents a peculiar way for alfa romeo to produce cars, they where really giving their best to let the people drive something good, a driver oriented family car. By the way it obviously wasn't the fastest car on the planet, but in reality I have serious doubts about not being able to pass a classic mini (which was running a 177 km/h on one of the hardest uphils of the nurburgring, feels strange to me, i mean, i don't think that mini can even reach that speed in flat ground), it is allways a 3.0 litre v6 and the 75 isn't known for being very slow. The point is don't take simulation as a real thing, also because we are talking about mods. Sorry for the looooong comment and maybe some mistake i may have done, nice video by the way
