I think the Vector sounds ok on the outside (Since it technically uses a engine from a truck) but very mediocre on the inside. I think the sound samples got messed up in the original sound bank mostly the pitching.

@@mattiapresti7295 The Rodeck engine was essentially a 5.7-liter Chevy engine those were used in freaking chevy trucks but it later got upgraded into a twin turbocharged 6.0 liter by Vector. So no it essentially uses a Chevy Truck engine. Although i believe the IROC and the C4 used these engines Quite a bit of Chevy trucks back in 88-90 had a 5.7 liter engine. The outside sounds close to this only in game it being a lower (deeper pitch) kzbin.info/www/bejne/apmomGqdiNyMgJI

Go listen to the sound of the real Vector W8. There are a handful of vids on KZbin. It actually sounds as bizarre as portrayed. I think it sounds different because it isn’t an American V8, its an American W8. 😝

The sad part about the Vector in AC is that AC doesn't really do automatic transmissions... The Vector relies on massive slippage from the Torque converter to keep the engine closer to its peek torque rev range. This almost acts like a reduction in itself locking and unlocking when needed almost like a gear change itself. So even though it is only a 3 speed, the massive TC slippage and torque multiplication actually made it run closer to a 6 speed. So without actually simulating that, AC is basically leaving half this cars performance on the table... granted this is also the ONLY car that AC would probably ever have that's a real performance car that operated in this manner... plus its a mod... so there really is no reason for them to try to simulate that.

The W8 had a TH400 3 speed automatic, it could've had a Doug Nash 4+3 semi manual transmission, but the Th400 was far more reliable bolted to the twin turboed 6.0 V8.

I actually like FWD cars because they are easier to handle in snow for example. I have a better control over it than a RWD because the rear end spins out easily. Luckily my Chevy Cruze LS 2011 has enough torque and power and height to drive almost on any terrain and condition. Not ofc any rock climbing but offroad capabilities are amazing on the car for it's stiff suspension

Problem 1: People are treating this like an "Arcade racer" Problem 2: Most aren't driving with the fact that this is a "Sim racer" and you should probably go speeds you actually feel comfy irl not NEEDFORSPEEEEEEEED. Problem 3: Sore losers, people that don't want to give up space and try blocking when it's clear they have a lower skill level and don't really know how to race correctly. Problem 4: Many people are going into "roulette" with the mindset of "I NEED TO BE 1st!" and not just some nice casual driving to change things up and to get a feel for different cars.

@@viperconcept Even though it was a bit of a pain, 60ties race was an interesting idea. Think you could throw a restricted roulette every once in a while? Like in GT where you have races for turbo cars only or 4door saloons. Mabye kei cars for endurance lap 😄
