Assetto Corsa EVO - RTX5080 - DLSS4 - ULTRA QUALITY

Edit : like ACTK EASY says, use the dlssSwapper application. I tested it and the dlss version is even more recent. There is a noticeable gain in fps (not in visual quality).
I'm testing the RTX 5080 on AC EVO, at 5120x1440, with DLSS 4.
The game is natively in DLSS 3, and it's pretty ugly and blurry.
So I imported Cyberpunk 2077's DLSS 4 .DLL into Assetto and it works perfectly.
The game is now much sharper. The game looks better in DLSS than in native resolution.
All options at MAX, but don't activate MSAA, which won't improve rendering.
I'll try to make another video with the impact of each setting on performance and try to optimize the game as much as possible.

Je teste la RTX 5080 sur AC EVO, en 5120x1440, avec le DLSS 4.
Le jeu est nativement en DLSS 3, et il est plutôt moche et flou.
J'ai donc importé le .DLL du DLSS 4 de Cyberpunk 2077 dans ASSETTO et cela fonctionne parfaitement.
Désormais le jeu est bien plus fin. Le jeu en DLSS est plus beau qu'en résolution native.
Toutes les options au MAX, mais ne pas activer le MSAA qui n'améliorera pas le rendu.
J'essayerai de faire une autre vidéo avec l'impact de chacun des réglages sur les performances et essayer d'optimiser au max le jeu.

Thanks for your video and what you used for settings. I see the 5080 GFX card makes a big difference. If and when I get the EVO game, which will probably be end of year 2025, I only have a RTX-3080TI with an I7 processor in my PC. So more and likely I will be running at MED to HIGH settings with this game - and certain graphics features turned off. I also use VR, so that will have a big FPS impact. All my older racing games seem to work very well with my hardware. I am retired, and can no longer afford upgrading my computers like I used to. well, depending on the gen of your i7 processor you could probably be bottlenecking your 3080ti.

Hello. thank you. Keep in mind that the game is at the very beginning of early access. I hope that within a year the game will be running well on a 3080ti which is a great card (I had a 3080 before). Same for VR. i know it's very complicated at the moment, but it will get better from now until 1.0 is released. Kunos has a lot of work to do 😅

It's still a good CPU, but to be honest, I know it limits me a little and causes FPS drops that some owners of more recent CPU don't have on this game. It's still acceptable on AC EVO for me, but on other games I know it bottleneck hard even at this resolution. I'll consider a 9800X3D when prices are more reasonable.

But Kunos got all the tools to fix and improve their game, they just have to work hard now and give people the experience they all have been waiting for

If you really want to test the card, you have to put the worst case scenario. Go to the race options, and turn the One Make option to off. So all the cars are different. And also, add rain. Those 2 things will tank your fps.

It is nice, but i don't see a difference that can convince me to spend 3000 euros in a GPU. I hope you didn't pay the full price like all the chickens that are buying them now... 😅 honestly, i waited before purchasing a new one and leave behind my still strong 6750xt. I wanted to see Nvidia and this new stuff. I'm tired to buy somettthing that "WILL" be better in the future. Today the best results and the best ratio Price/performance is the 7900XTX, and seems that when the 8000 and 9000 series from AMD are out at decent price (still below 1000 eurros), probably will be the time to purchase a 5000 series from Nvidia. But today (and is not me, all youtuber not sponsored by one or the other say so) buying the 5000 series is the worse thing to do. unless you have big discount from Nvidia to promote them. I think users are tired with Nvidia, and to tell you, in Sim racing people are still using old cards that can throw over 100fps at High (not Ultra high or epic) settings. And when you play, the details of the 2000 euros more you put in the card can be better spent on gears for the sim rig.. ☺

Well, first series with new tech is allways like this. Not much real inprovement, and the new stuff need time to evolve. 6000 series will be a big step from 4000. I think is better to wait allways. I usually jump one series. And its nice to see the difference when you get the new gpu. From 2080ti to 4090 it was really good 😅

4090 is better in rasterisation, no doubt. the only scenario the 5080 is better is if the game supports multi frame generation. Not the case in this beta.

DLSS does not work in triple screen mode. Only on a single screen. (However, I think it's possible to make it work if you switch the triple screen to “extended screen” or something like that. I don't have a triple, so I can't help too much.)

@Moccigatto Interpolated frames are NOT real frames. They are generated by AI, meaning that you will always encounter artifacts and anomalies while using it (since the AI is trying to create an intermediary frame from two real ones). The more movement and the more detail and the more the probability of artifacts arising. Then there's also the problem with latency, that - while DLSS 4 greatly reduces it in comparison to DLSS 3 - it's still a problem for genres where latency is essential and, guess what, racing is one of those. Apart from this, then, DLSS 4 doesn't work for VR and hence if you sim race with the latter (as many people do since sim racing is one of the best use cases for VR) then frame generation technology is completely worthless (and even if it worked the artifacts would be so noticeable in VR as to be completely unusable anyway; that's probably why Nvidia doesn't even bother to bring frame generation to virtual reality).

@Moccigatto Yes, you will notice them as they can go as far as making whole objects dissapear/appear and there are even videos proving this. And on raw rasterization 120 fps are more enjoyable than 60 fps because the latency lowers, but with frame interpolation it doesn't do so and, on the contrary, it raises. Movement will look more fluid but response time will appear slower. It's obvious you don't know too much about the context, maybe you should research the topic a little better.
