[Assetto Corsa] Touge Life 1 PK Akina debut night!

I still remember years ago talks of PK akina coming to TL1, the playerbase at that time was excited about adopting PK's map when it was finally released. It seems the new generation of drivers that come from the EK series of maps that may have never experienced old 2017 Akina are not as welcoming to the change. Complaints such as "road is too narrow" "there isn't enough grip" "can't drift here" are all but a few examples of the new generations transition to a more "difficult" version of Akina. As for myself not only have I waited so long for PK Akina to come out but also encourage players to try and drive on the more difficult variant as opposed to the introductory style of difficulty found on EK Akina. I still remember slamming into the T1 guardrail at 2017 Akina countless times and not even making it 2 mins down the course, little did I know I would eventually could go sub 5.10 on 2017 Akina with the FD. (which now am sure I could even beat my old PB of 5.07 on 2017 Akina).

im def. not perfect by any means! lol its all about putting in the time to learn sim driving, there were points in my early days i didnt believe in trail braking, using abs fully, using handbrake etc... that was like 2 yrs ago it just takes time to get better. I started at a 5:18 with the kunos rx7 stock on akina 2017 and now current PB is 5.07 and am sure i can beat that now too

hey do you know if hes using the handbrake after braking into the hairpins? im so curious as of to how they get sliding with minimal scandi flicks

​@@xXPumpkinPvPTutsXxscandi flicks are more for low grip surfaces like in rally, or if you wanna do a showy drift or are driving a boat like the R34... It seems like I'm this vid he's really quickly pulling the handbrake in the hairpins like you said. It's interesting bcos it seems like he's using paddle shifters so no clutch, I'm assuming with auto clutch enabled the game uses the clutch whenever the handbrake is pulled? Idk

i just saw this, but yes i tap the handbrake as i have it binded to a button on my wheel, i use clutch and shifter.

@@alsa4real somewhat, PK's akina is a 1:1 variant with elevation data from google maps so thats as accurate i think they can get it w/o laser scanning the road.
