Sir, mera ek two storied ka home loan chal raha hai, loan 2 storied building k pura mila, but expenditure jyada hone s ground floor conplete nhi kar paya aur abhi mai 1st floor k finishing kar 1st floor m reh raha hu aur section 24 claim kar raha hu. Abhi May 2023 ground floor complete karne k liye fir s home loan liya hu, jisme purpose diya "residual work for existing home loan under Home Loan, Housing Finance Scheme" . Abhi mai in dono home loan s maximum kitna tax exemption le sakta hu.

Conditions with respect to the carpet area of the house property. These conditions have been specified in the memorandum to the finance bill, but not mentioned in section 80EEA: The carpet area of the house property should not exceed 60 square meter ( 645 sq ft) in metropolitan cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi National Capital Region (limited to Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad), Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai (whole of Mumbai Metropolitan Region) Carpet area should not exceed 90 square meter (968 sq ft) in any other cities or towns. Further, this definition will be effective for affordable real estate projects approved on or after 1 September 2019

Hi, two queries: 1. For self occupied properties if we are paying municipal taxes and yearly maintenance, can we show them as losses? 2. In case of joint owners and joint loan, if only 1 owner actually is repaying the principal and interest (emi) can still both the owners claim principal and interest separately? Thank you.

Sir, ek important scenario cover nahi kiya in case of construction goes beyond 5 years. For example, if I have taken a loan in 2009 and got possession in July 2019. then Can I take rebate for current year as Rs. 30000 + ( interest of 10 years / 5) = Maximum Rs. 200000

The construction must be completed within 5 years from the end of the financial year in which the loan was taken. Since, your have got possession of your house after 8 years, its not possible to claim interest deduction.
