Assigning The Volume and Wah Pedal on POD HDX and POD HD

Seems crazy to use two FX slots for this, I think there might be a better way. Put a WAH pedal in your FX chain and control it with Exp1. Also make sure it is switched from the Exp pedal footswitch, and make sure it is disabled by default. (All this is the same as the video.) Now instead of using an FX slot for volume pedal, select your amp in the View window and and double-press Move. Select Volume as your parameter and set the controller to Exp2. Seems to work for me, but maybe I'm missing something

Congratulations on the video. It looks great! I would like to share a problem I had this week, to see if anyone can give me a solution. When using the Wha, I noticed that the pedal no longer controlled it, although when pressing the foot hard, it works the function of switching between Exp1 and Exp2 correctly. I Tryed to carry out the calibration process, pressing the right key to access the menu, but the foot movement is not recognized in the calibration process. Either it stays at 255, or it stays at 0. I also tried doing the factory reset, turning on the pod by pressing the left arrow, but it doesn't seem to be working, as none of my presets were erased. Therefore, I still cannot control either the wha or the volume. If anyone can help, I appreciate it. Tks

Can't you assign the volume knob of the amp to be controlled by the expression pedal? I've seen that somewhere, doesn't require the use of an effects block. I'm sure I've tried it, can't remember if it gets cancelled out when you hit the toe switch for a wah though

Yodavich you can do it on the 500x so shouldnt be a problem on the 500, you can switch one effect on and another effect on with one click of a button

The problem is when you have both volume AND wah assigned to the toe switch and press the pedal all the way down to switch on the wah, guess what...yep the volume raises all the way up so the volume is way too loud to continue playing which renders the wah useless. It has to be one or the other.

@@pielcee7546 I never got any help from Line6 on it. You just can't have both volume and wah on the same preset. I end up making two presets identical, one with a volume pedal and one with a wah pedal. Yes it is very frustrating.

The implementation of that lovely pedal is an absolute disaster Line 6. I have NEVER, after six years of using this pedal, successfully or simply added a volume, Wah or rotating speaker speed, to a patch utilizing that pedal. It is a strange and worthless addition to an otherwise great unit. It either doesn't work, or it is unacceptably bizarre to set up.

Hi guys. Couldn't work mine either so checked a couple of vids. The toe switch WORKS you just have to apply A LOT OF PRESSURE TO THE FRONT OF THE PEDAL. unlike a previous model the switch doesn't appear to be latching. I was putting on so much pressure I. Was concerned about damaging the unit but then suddenly success. Good luck all
