4:05 beat 1/2 explanation 1-- dash in: >offensive hitbox or bait (wdback), >laser, >aerial(nair), >grab, >runshine 2 (waiting for defense)-- dashback: roll, jump, shield, panic option(defensive hitbox) a beat threats an option. maybe useful to force opponent out of a risky position, and cover the escape

I think this guy could've benefitted from a mentality talk way more than a vod review imo. Just seems like he was generally unhappy with the mistakes he was making, kinda wanted to vent a little bit, and wasn't super receptive to criticisms. Kinda just sounded like you told him stuff and he was like "yeah you're right" without actually being sure if he knows what you're saying or not. It sounds like an ego issue to me. This kind of player needs to put much less stake into his matches and learn to experiment and live freely more often. Great video, bro!

@@KJHSSBM yeah that's real it could be just me for sure. Maybe what I mean is I think you kinda taught him how to fish you know what I'm sayin, cast a lure and whatnot, but like, he doesn't understand that maybe in a different season like winter, the fish don't come around. So he's casting his rod, and he can catch some stuff, but he doesn't really understand like, the greater picture if that makes sense. Like when he hit a down air on falcon at 80% and it popped him up, he was supposed to wait and shine, and when you told him that he was like, "I was honestly thinking about giving up on the shine all together and tech chasing" and it's like, okay wait we should stop and reevaluate how he sees the game all together because like, his mind is not coming up with good answers for stuff. And I see that you're kinda trying to do that! Right like you let him know like yo bro, you're playing kind of emotionally, kinda quick thinking and unconfident, you need to step back and kinda remember to look at the game analytically. But I think like, rather than referring to in game situations talking about what he can do better, you can talk to him about his mental, and help him get to that state of calmness, where then those decisions are much more natural. So to correct myself yeah I think that what you're showing him IS very useful, and dont get me wrong, there's like 5 people in the world who could beat you in a quiz about the game lol but I just think his rate of improvement would be better if the mental situation was addressed first, THEN once he's chilled out you work on the in game stuff. But yeah I get that you guys are working with a limited time window, and regardless you do a really good job teaching him tons of stuff anyways. I think I just like to smoke weed and leave KZbin comments, my b about the paragraphs bro you're a legend.

Havent watched yet just vibing from the title. Do you guys ever play against those fast, rehearsed, but predictable players who just do the same fast safe ("optimal") option every time with no mixups. They just rely on good plan and reaction time but it feels like theyre soulless robots. Worst gameplay experience ever, id rather be camped by a luigi

The worst is when I lose to the gameplan. Eventually I stopped losing to these types of players, but man sometimes it's soul crushing to see how predictable they are and how frustrated they get sometimes because of it.

@@toolbar12423I felt this way for a long time but secretly these players are the key to being Goated, if you analyze and learn how to beat all the “lame” things they do or figure out their gameplan and learn to counter it it’s broken

@@KJHSSBM I only say that because you often mention that you don't have a set plan at the beginning of your videos lmao

He's got a point tho, some people make suuuuper scripted and prepared vids with slides and diagrams and animations and everything. Like some of the old Kira tutorials for example. This is definitely a way laid back version of things

Great lesson. Do you think you could add timestamps for different sections/topics in future lessons? I would appreciate it a lot so I could come back to specific parts in these videos for reference. No worries if it's too much of a hassle though.
