When i first heard this song in the game I started to sing along around the 0:56 part (but before the whistling part) and immediately thought about whistling the next part as it seemed to fit there perfectly (what i actually tried but can’t whistle). So then as i was trying to whistle the actual whistling part, imagine my surprise when i heard the in-game whistling as well and i thought about the coincidence - like sometimes i hear a song and i feel that some tunes would be more to my liking if they were a bit different but this was exactly what i was thinking.
