It's true. I hate it when people can't look past the comedy or 4kids making characters jerkish just because. I've had people tell me, "He wasn't funny, so he was boring." Or calling him forgettable. Too many people just watch the dub and only go to the sub for season four. And sometimes even from seeing all the sub, Edo can still be seen as a bad character somehow or not considered a rival at all.

I am always amused at how most of the Destiny Heroes' Japanese names are "[Adjective starting with D] Guy" like "Die Hard Guy" (Captain Tenacious), "Deadly Guy" (Dangerous), and "Doom Guy" (Fear Monger). Also, Plasma's Japanese name being "Bloo-D."

I still maintain Aster was the best character to come out of the GX series. Jaden's entire arc around growing up was good and all, but Aster's dealing with trauma and finding ways to move through it and start to heal just hit so much better. He felt so much more grounded and real. And he was definitely right about the Destiny Heroes being the superior ones 😌

That's exactly how I feel, too. For me, Jaden just never felt relatable once he had superpowers and was just eventually able to solve everything on his own pretty much when no one else could. Aster felt more realistic as a person who had to learn he had limits and there was no magic answer to his problems with being chosen or relying on tarot cards to know his future. And there were genuine moments where he tried to help people just for the sake of it, yet I see him get written off so much as "only caring about himself" or "believing he is better than everyone else".

I really love how DPE is a combination of Plasma and Phoenix Enforcer but it was so unfortunate that it power crept Dystopia out of HERO decks. Dystopia makes deck building more fun because it's a bit tricky to change its ATK outside of kinda clunky D-HEROes from the ARC-V era. During the early link era, I built a HERO deck that has Borreload Dragon to decrease its ATK. And later on, HERO decks could also opt for Isolde and Phoenix Blade. Even strategies that involve Saryuja can incidentally boost Dystopia's ATK.

Playing Destiny Hero Dystopiaguy made me appreciate Xtra Hero Dread Decimator and Elemental Hero Sunrise's ATK boosts even more. Plus after using Dystopiaguy's effect and having his ATK reset, you can use him as link material along with something else to make Xtra Hero Cross Crusader and revive Dystopiaguy again so he can use his effect once again. It was interesting seeing so many parts of the Hero deck works so well in helping you spam Dystopiaguy's effect Then you no longer have any reason to play him once you have DPE since DPE is basically a condition-less Dystopiaguy lol

I think DPE should have had its specific named materials for how powerful and easy it was to use. Same reason why I hated Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon for not specifically requiring Red-Eyes Black Dragon with the toned down version of its effect. It's not like there are already plenty of shortcuts available for fusion summoning.

All these destiny hero do well in a pure deck. Since most vision and destiny ended up as engine for elemental and mask hero fusion. As destiny hero pure deck do well as dragoon, dogma, dreadmaster, dystopia, dpe, dominance being played with the help of d-tactics. Dreadmaster is your protection, Dogma is the burner, dragoons is the floodgate and dpe and dystopia are removers. To have all the monsters effect to go off you would need dreadmaster to protect all your destiny.

The closest Arc-V Jack has to that is a visual Crimson Dragon _reference_ the first time he Synchro Summoned Tyrant Red Dragon Archfiend.

Once per turn, if you still control this face-up card during your opponent's next Standby Phase after you Special Summoned it this way: Halve your opponent's LP._ Proposed amendments: *_Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by it’s own effect. (Quick Effect) You can special summon this card (from your hand or GY) by Tributing 3 monsters, including at least 1 "Destiny HERO" monster. Once per turn, if you still control this face-up card during the next Standby Phase after you Special Summoned it this way: Halve your opponent's LP, then increase this card’s ATK/DEF by the halved amount. so what you are saying is you can basically lock your opponent out of every effect except traps by just having plasma and dark angel on the field at the same time?
