It's great to see you have settled into your new job and I'm sure you will go far as you have the skill to do whatever is needed. As I mentioned in my DM to you I do hope you get a chance to try the new DV1S smart gun, it feels great quality in the hand and all the controls are very smooth and hope to be testing it tomorrow 🤗👍 John UK

PPG's D8175 Clearcoat behaves very similarly to what you described from what i remember when using that system; has a very long pot-life, stays wet for ages and flows very well but as soon as you apply heat it cures extremely fast and polishing can become a challenge after 24+ hours. However it is really unforgiving if you are prone to runs or get a large build up as it will pop. Easily one of the best clears i've used though.

Hey Gunny great Job! Glasurit 100 line just came out, not sure how available it is in Australia yet. I just went to training for BASF tech reps in April and having used Axalta and 90 line in the past I can honestly say it’s a game changer. Our Uv primers, direct to plastic/metal sealers and primers kick ass.

I just finished 2 fenders, 2 bumpers and a quarter panel on a Rolls Royce Wraith and used my super nova to get a totally flat finish, but I know what you are saying it is an unforgiving gun that you have to be totally used to and it must be adjusted just right to get the finish that you want.

So are you saying it stays in the crosslink stage for quite a while, yet it gases out fast? That's pretty sweet properties. I use sikkens superior clear 250 and it's quite pissy with flashing off if your not paying attention on certain days where the weather's not to nice you can get solvent boil unfortunately
@TheGunmanChannel3 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's it. It will stay tacky for over 10min at 25c but as soon as heat hits it, bam it's cured. Really incredible stuff and I haven't used any other clear quite like it.

Hi mate! Could you please help me, i have a chance to buy an air cap pro-100-t1-k at a discount price... How does it compare to T110 air cap? Does it even fit gti pro lite? I am looking for a t110 air cap, to be able to have better finish for clearcoat compared to my te20 now. But i cant seem to find that cap anywhere in croatia, is a t1-k good solution? Love your work and im happy you did not give up on the new shop!
@TheGunmanChannel3 жыл бұрын
If it's cheap, then just get it. I mean you're not losing much even if you don't like it. But it's the same as the TE10 air cap, it's definitely going to spray a bit flatter finish than the TE20.
