You started painting the year I was born. Same year my dad started painting. He does industrial painting though like building and bridges. I currently paint boats but I dream to paint cars

Merry Christmas!! I use the DV1 with the 1.2 b+ all the time and almost never use water borne base, the paint I use needs to be atomized as much as possible due to its so think….and I over reduce it

Hi Gunny, hope you and your family are having a great Christmas and I hope 2025 is another good year for you👌I'm so pleased you posted this up as I'm a Merc guy with my old but future classic the SLK, it's just over 20 years old but it looks like a new car, I believe you have seen some pics of it😮‍💨 It must have bought back some fond memories watching this mate and using solvent which ended up looking amazing, solvent is all I use but I've always thought that water gave the best finish in the clear and held it's gloss better but I'm wrong from what you said, I was thinking of trying water but I think I'll stay as is, I'll be watching this video on your RAW channel🙏👍John UK

i did some work on the inlaws cars with the original quick clear when it first came out it still looks good now . that was 8800 now 8810 in spies hecker/axalta ,

why you against solvents? i dont know anyone that uses water base.

He isn’t against solvent he said he likes solvent . The industry is going water solvent is phasing out I spray solvent right now and we are switching to waterborne January 6th so we will see how it goes . I went to a few shops to look at the paint we will be spraying and the finish quality to me looks very good I’m excited to learn new things and hopefully so don’t have to deal with wrinkle ups no more haha
